Mariah Carey confirms pregnancy
This morning in a pre-taped interview on "Today," Mariah Carey admitted to "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush that she is indeed expecting a baby with husband Nick Cannon.
"It's still early," said Carey. "We're expecting in the spring. I don't want to give too much of the specifics."
And despite speculation that Carey, 41, had undergone in vitro fertilization, she tells Bush that the couple conceived naturally and haven't yet found out whether they're expecting a girl or a boy.
Carey and Cannon also opened up for the first time about a miscarriage that Carey had in the early days of their marriage. A People.com article published as the interview hit the airwaves details the recent rumors about Carey's pregnancy:
In August, Carey fanned the flames by stepping out in Brazil wearing a maternity dress. She quickly addressed the ensuing frenzy, explaining she is "superstitious" about pregnancy and promising, "When the time is right, everyone will know."
