Mel Gibson out. Now Liam Neeson is in 'Hangover 2'

Liam Neeson: He'll take it from here, Mel Gibson. (AP)

Mel Gibson has lost his part as a tattoo artist in "The Hangover 2." But before anyone had much chance to either mourn or rejoice, his replacement already has been found.

Liam Neeson, seen most recently in "The A-Team," will play the reportedly pivotal role. We'd say this was a departure for the distinguished actor but, well, Neeson was seen most recently in "The A-Team." Presumably there won't be any objections to this selection since who the heck could possibly have an issue with Neeson? Anti-Qui Gon Jinners? People with long-standing objections to "Rob Roy"?

Guess the "Hangover" crew will have to look elsewhere in the film's cast of characters for a surprisingly random casting choice. We also guess Gibson's career comeback is going to take even longer than previously anticipated.

Wasn't Bradley Cooper in The A Team (sorry, I somehow missed that awesome cinematic experience)? Maybe he vouched for Liam.
Liam can tattoo me anytime.
