Pop culture pulse: Zombies invade your TV
It’s rare to see the undead on television. (Feel free to insert your own tasteless Larry King joke here.) But in the coming days, the airwaves will be ripe with zombie-viewing opportunities.
“Dead Set” -- a five-part British series that somehow manages to smartly merge the concept of a zombie-pocalypse with the reality show “Big Brother” -- will air for the first time in the U.S. for five nights on IFC, beginning Monday. And next Sunday, on Halloween, AMC’s much-anticipated (and hyped) adaptation of the graphic novel “Walking Dead” makes its debut. Yes, thanks to the magic of television, now nearly every night can be a night of the living dead.
