Rumor Mill: Charlie Sheen partied with cocaine, prostitute before police showed up

By Liz Kelly

Charlie Sheen is on his way back to California via private jet after being hospitalized for either a) acute intoxication or b) an allergic reaction, depending on whom you ask.

TMZ.com reports that the troubled TV star was eight days away from completing probation on a domestic violence conviction when police found Sheen naked and intoxicated in a trashed hotel suite.

Now the New York Post is reporting that Sheen had been drinking and "snorting cocaine with a prostitute" before tearing apart his room at the Plaza Hotel in an apparent search for a missing wallet. But a rep for Sheen told Fox News the actor "had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where [he] is expected to be released tomorrow."

Nevertheless, TMZ is reporting that Sheen is already out of the hospital and headed back to California where he had previously spent the past several weeks at Promises Treatment Center in Malibu.

The "Two and a Half Men" star, son of Martin Sheen and brother of actor Emilio Estevez was in New York with ex-wife Denise Richards and their children (who were staying in a separate room in the Plaza's Eloise Suite.)

In August, Sheen pleaded guilty to assault in connection with a Christmas 2009 domestic dispute involving wife Brooke Mueller Sheen. He was sentenced to 30 days of rehab as well as 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management classes.

The bad boy of prime-time TV appears to be up to his old tricks.

The New York Post is reporting that police were called to a Manhattan hotel where Charlie Sheen was found naked and intoxicated in a trashed suite.

"Tables and chairs had been thrown around the room and a chandelier was also damaged," sources told the New York Post.

Sheen told police he had been "out partying" and "after he returned to his room with an unidentified woman, he noticed his wallet was missing, causing him to fly into a rage."

But wait, there's more: Sheen was taken to the hospital and accompanied by ex-wife Denise Richards, who was also staying in the hotel but, reportedly, in a separate room.

Police sources told TMZ Sheen went voluntarily and that Charlie was "emotionally disturbed."

In August, Sheen pleaded guilty to assault in connection with a Christmas 2009 domestic dispute involving wife Brooke Mueller Sheen. He was sentenced to 30 days of rehab as well as 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management classes.

Back to the drawing board.

He was really fighting off the Star Whackers that tracked him down to the hotel room. But, of course, THEY don't want you to know about that.

If that's so, then why wasn't Charlie found hanging in the closet?

Well, according to Brooke, it's probably because Charlie has a mean right hook.

Well, I for one am excited to have classic Charlie back.

I feel sorry for Charlie's parents, who've tried so many times to get him clean and sober. They're not young any more, and what a terrible toll it's taken on them (as well as the extended Sheen/Estevez clan).

Charlie's pretty much at the top of the list with LiLo of celebrities one would not be surprised to hear had died in some drug or alcohol related misadventure. He needs help. It can be done (see Robert Downey Jr, Drew Barrymore). Since Charlie, like RDJ and Drew, is from an "acting family" I hope the community reaches out to him they way they tend to for legacy actors.

You can't help but like the guy. I wish he would get his act together before it kills him. Sometimes he appears to blur the line between the character and real life. I think it's part of his charm and why we continue to like someone this totally screwed up. Charlie we love you! Get some help so you will be around for a long time.

Man, I wanna buy shares in Promises. With all those repeat customers, they must be raking it in.

"YOU can't help but like the guy"???

"WE continue to like someone this totally screwed up"???

"Charlie, WE love you"???

Why don't you try speaking for yourself, Desertdiva1?

I used to be somewhat of a Charlie Sheen fan,
back in the days of the original "Wall Street" --
I'm about his age -- but there is NO, and I mean NO,
excuse for violence and harming others, especially
your own wives! (Not to mention his responsibility
as a parent -- multiple times over -- to set
a good example) ...

I would even cut him some slack if he were
only hurting himself, as other celebrities
have done, but that's not the case here. He has a long and sordid history of bringing violence and grief to others.
And his apologists are willing to overlook
that because, gee, "he's such a great guy
on TV!" Guess what -- TV AIN'T REAL!!!

For real? Can't help but like the guy? Up to his old tricks? For crying out loud...he got high, wrecked a hotel rm & had a terrified woman, naked no less, locked in the closet. All while being on probation. This mess is neither amusing nor funny in the least. His actions are disgusting. And this "aw shuks, he's just being Charlie" approach to this situation is just making me sick to my stomach. Lock him up already. He is a sick and sorry individual and this lack of punishment by the law is not helping his case.

Who the he11 is Charlie Sheen? Oh wait, it says "two and a half men star", son of Martin Sheen, brother of Emelio Estevez? Doesn't help me. Once again, who the he11 is Charlie Sheen?

Charlie Sheen is a wonderful comic actor who makes me laugh and makes me happy when I watch his movies and TV shows. I only wish he could find something to make him happy and bring him peace.
