Rumor Mill: Taylor Swift dating Jake Gyllenhaal

Someone should warn Jake Gyllenhaal that Taylor Swift writes scathing songs about her exes because, according to People magazine, Swift (20) and Gyllenhaal (29) spent the weekend "laughing, eating and strolling together in New York City."

Swift reportedly showed up for the taping of "Saturday Night Live" -- pal Emma Stone was hosting -- with Gyllenhaal in tow. The next day, the couple was spotted brunching in Brooklyn and strolling around the family-friendly Park Slope neighborhood. So obviously they are totally ready to settle down and procreate.

Gyllenhaal split from Reese Witherspoon last November, though he reportedly tried to win her back with $75,000 worth of vintage dinnerware. Swift has, in the past year or so, dated Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and -- as we recently learned -- John Mayer.

Taylor Swift is "dating" another gay man?

Jake Gyllenhaal is looking for another beard?

Cheap publicity, she has a new album to promote and Jake has new movie, "Love and Other Drugs", to promote.

Let get this straight, Swift is angry at Mayer for breaking things off with her? (the great unofficial relationship)'For his sick need to give love and take it back.' So she's trashing him in her song 'Dear John,.....now that you're gone I can see it all,'........And the trashing begins there. There's also a Mr. Jonas, a Mr. Lautner, a Mr. Monteith, a critic and a rival, all in such a short time frame of the womans young. And the trashing is being celebrated as something of a badge of honor, which is a sad message for young girls.
Maybe Mr. Mayer found the very talented Ms. Swift to be wound up a little too much for his liking. Maybe the other gents had the same feeling.
Just saying that maybe she's a bit of a handful.
