Shia gets conservative. Maybe

Does this guy look like a young Karl Rove?

Could Shia LaBeouf play Karl Rove?
That's the question that rippled through the blogosphere yesterday after a report in the L.A. Times stated that the “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star is interested in playing a young Rove in “College Republicans.”
The movie, which traces Rove's campaign to become national chairman of the College Republican National Committee in the 1970s, doesn't have studio backing yet. Hence, all the speculation may be a bit premature. Still, there's something fascinating about imagining LaBeouf shift from Sam Witwicky in “Transformers 3” to a budding political mastermind.
