Charlie Sheen files for divorce

Less than a week after Charlie Sheen was hospitalized in New York after allegedly cavorting with a porn star and wrecking a hotel room, the "Two and a Half Men" star has filed for divorce from his third wife, Brooke Mueller.

Sheen cited irreconcilable differences in his divorce filing. He also seeks joint custody of the couple's twin sons but, according to the Associated Press, asked the judge not to award his wife any spousal support.

TMZ is speculating that Sheen filed for divorce to avoid Mueller talking about it on her upcoming reality show. How filing for divorce would actually prevent her from talking about it, we're not sure. But we can certainly understand how Sheen would want to avoid making a spectacle of his life.

In August, Sheen pleaded guilty to assault in connection with a Christmas 2009 domestic dispute involving Mueller. He was sentenced to 30 days of rehab as well as 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management classes.

Charlie Sheen = Hollywood Liberalism at its finest

Whackjobness is not limited by politics.

Maybe Sheen's anger man class taught him that filing for divorce was an appropriate channeling of the anger. As opposed to, say, hiring a rampage of hookers and snorting cocaine while trashing his hotel room nekkid.

I guess objecting to your husband's coke-fueled parties with his ex and a porn star is grounds for divorce in California.

I kind of believe the friend who predicts that we'll be reading Charlie's obituary before another week goes by. Will he ever return? No, he'll never return. (But I hope I'm wrong.)

I thought Brooke already filed for divorce.

What is it with Charlie's exes and reality shows. I hope Charlie again objects to the kids being on. And this time the judge agrees.

If he asks for a gag order in the divorce proceedings, she can be prohibited from talking about the marriage. Although, as you pointed out, there is really no secrets about this guy anymore.

I really used to like him. I hope he gets his act together and grows up.

Sheen may be seeking joint custody of the children, but he's definitely seeking sole custody of the hookers and cocaine.

Two can play this infantile game. Mel Gibson = racist and anti-semitic conservatism at its worst.

Do I really think that Mel Gibson embodies American conservatism? No. It just goes to show how asinine your claim is. But what else should I expect from a poster with the username of "Libtard_Ride_Free"?

Charlie Sheen: the epitome of the spoiled loser. Wealth, it seems, is simply wasted on some.
