Talk about commitment. Seth Rogen talked about his engagement on the series premiere of "Conan" Monday night. And when I say "commitment" I'm talking about Rogen's commitment not to brand spanking new fiancee Lauren Miller, but to his pal Conan.
Rogen and Miller -- a writer -- have been dating since 2004. But, Rogen tells Conan, he apparently couldn't contain himself when he bought the engagement ring.
"Literally, I felt like someone had given me like a truckload of heroin to hold onto," he said. "I felt like the feds were going to kick in my door at any second. I couldn't have a conversation with my girlfriend. All I could think of was this ring. Like 'Don't say 'Lord of the Rings!' Don't mention anything about a ring!"
So he decided to propose immediately. And, in a talk show anecdote moment I'm sure Miller will appreciate throughout their long and loving marriage, Rogen ventured into TMI territory:
"She was in our closet changing, and she was literally only in her underpants, and her boobs were out," said Rogen. "I'd already kind of started, and I was like 'Oh man, her boobs are out! That's not part of the plan!' I didn't picture it like this, and I know she didn't picture it like this. No little girl is like 'It'll happen in a closet with my t**s out.'"
Actually, it's this next part that is really nowhere near any little girl's dream proposal.
"I figured the only appropriate thing was to place the ring on her nipple."
Rogen also talked a little bit about his upcoming role in "Green Hornet" (coming to theaters in January), California's Proposition 19 (which may explain his general demeanor) and his newly trim physique.
"I kind of got in shape a little bit," said Rogen. "If Matthew McConaughey looked like this he'd murder himself, I can tell you that. He would literally kill himself. But for me, this is pretty awesome, I've got to say."

I think Liz Kelly's insinuation is correct--Rogen definitely seemed a little high. Either that or his mental editor is on vacation.

Wow, just think: this is the beginning! Wait until we hear about the conception of their children, or their births. I can hardly contain myself.
