Leonardo DiCaprio in airliner close shave after engine shuts down
Leonardo DiCaprio was aboard a Delta flight bound for Moscow on Sunday when one of the plane's engines shut down, Us Weekly reports.
The jetliner was forced to return to New York's JFK airport and, once safely on terra firma, Leo reportedly signed autographs for crew members. Through a rep, DiCaprio said he "wishes to commend the actions of the pilot and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing."
DiCaprio, an avid environmentalist, was reportedly on his way to Moscow to participate in a Tiger summit, according to Us Weekly, "a four day meeting to discuss ways to prevent the extinction of tigers, headed by Russian leader Vladimir Putin."
So, just to recap, today we've learned that Leonardo DiCaprio will star in a movie about the JFK assassination and that a plane on which he was a passenger suffered an engine shutdown, forcing its return to JFK airport.
Coincidence or conspiracy a-go-go?
