Lily Allen loses baby, spokesman says
Lily Allen has apparently suffered a miscarriage six months into her pregnancy, according to People.com.
"It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby," the British singer's rep said in a statement. "The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made."
It was only a few weeks ago that Allen, 25, confirmed she was due to give birth to a baby boy in January. She'd previously announced the pregnancy in August. In an interview in the October issue of Stylist, Allen talked about looking forward to an "idyllic" life with boyfriend Sam Cooper and the expected baby.
"If you're a guy you can go on the road and that’s great because it's literally the only way to make money out of music," she said in the Stylist interview. "But me? I don’t want to go on tour with kids. I want to be a hands-on mum."
This is the second miscarriage for Allen, who -- with then-boyfriend Ed Simons -- lost a baby three years ago.
