Is this a young Stephen Colbert?
Approximately 14 hours ago, Reddit user likepeterose posted the pic below, titled "A Young Stephen Colbert." This morning it was picked up by New York Magazine's Vulture blog, among others, and presented as the real deal. We here at Celebritology see the resemblance, but we're not totally convinced that this isn't just a snap from one of likepeterose's '80s-era golf outings. We've got calls and e-mails out to both likepeterose and Colbert to see if we can confirm the authenticity. Then maybe we'll get started on this one.

If it's not Mr. Colbert, he must have an evil hippie clone running around somewhere.
The shape of the face, the nose, the eyes, the expression of the smile- they're almost identical to a picture of him today. Crop out the Bob Ross hair and 'stache and ta-da.
