Julianne Hough's new video: Too Hot for CMT?

By Liz Kelly

Hey, news flash: Julianne Hough -- former "Dancing With the Stars" pro -- is now a country-music singer. Betcha didn't know that. In fact, I'm guessing not many people knew that Hough put out her first self-titled album in 2008 and is set to follow up with a new set of songs, expected to drop in 2011.

Hough released a single, "Is That So Wrong?," from the album back in June. It failed to chart, according to my source on all things country-music related: Wikipedia. Which may explain why Hough released a video for the song, below, that is apparently too racy for Country Music Television (CMT).

Warning: It is indeed racy if you consider a) a woman in a bra and Daisy Duke shorts somersaulting onto a bed and right into the splits or b) gyrating hips to be overtly sexual:

How do we know it's too racy for CMT? Cuz Hough said so, onstage last week during a performance, writes The Post's Emily Yahr:

"This next song -- funny story," she said by way of introducing "Is That So Wrong" in the middle of her 30-minute set at Cancun Cantina in Hanover. "I shot a music video for it ... and [Country Music Television] kind of banned it."

Watch and tell us what you think.

The "raciness" is fine; the real travesty is she can't sing worth a damn.

I'd hit it.

Actually, the video ruins the song. The song's not bad, but why did she need to act like a stripper for that song....or any song, for that matter? She just lowered herself into the abyss of underclad women who think they have to appear near-naked to sell anything. Too bad, and where does the trashy end so that we can just enjoy music again without the assault of sex, porn, vampiness, and smut?

Not sure the video matches the song, but that wouldn't stop me from watching it.

She's a decent singer and a great stripper.

OMG! Is there a female in country music who is more smoking hot than she is? OMG! Who cares if she can sing? Not me. Nope. I don't care.

Mein Gott! Gott im Himmel! Holy Moses, Jesus Christ! Yeah Baby, Yeah! Song? There was a song? I gotta seriously turn down this techno-music I got pumping through my earphones. lol.

Too bad she's not above five foot ten inches tall, otherwise she could land like that on me anytime. lol.

Madonna, Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez, and now Julianne Hough - just because they can dance doesn't mean they can sing.

She made a huge mistake leaving Dancing with the Stars where she was a big fish in a big pond. Now with all of the politics in Country Music she'll continue to be a little fish in a huge mess of folks with very little talent outside of a few records and sporting way too much denim. Julianne will just fade into the barnwood background like all the others. 'Keep dating Seacrest' is her best bet now for any kind of 'success' as his deep pockets could pull her out of that black hole called Nashville that she's fallen into or she could salvage her popularity by tucking her tail and going back to Dancing with the Stars. I'm just sayin'...
