Kate Middleton engagement portrait looks: More must-haves?
Hey copy-Kates, breathe easy. The cream-colored clothes the princess-to-be sported in the couple's newly released official engagement photos will be coming soon to a store near you. Well, at least if you live in London.
According to the U.K.'s Telegraph, Middleton insisted on dressing herself for the shoot "despite several assistants being on hand with a selection of designer clothes to style her." Not only is she pretty, but she can dress herself!
For the casual shot, Middleton chose a no-longer-available cream silk blouse from the 2008 Whistles collection. But, said Jane Shepherdson, chief executive of Whistles, to the Telegraph -- Whistles will re-release the item.
"We are delighted that Katherine has chosen to wear Whistles in her engagement photographs. Due to a surge of customer interest we will be re-releasing the 'Kate' blouse as a limited edition in early 2011."
And what about that fetching cream cocktail-length dress in the more formal portrait? It's from Reiss -- another London-based chain -- and a similar version of the "Nannette" dress is scheduled to return to stores by the end of January.
Still holding out for the blue engagement announcement dress? You're in luck. A £14 ($22) version is set to go on sale Dec. 20 from U.K. budget chain Peacocks.
As of yet, no reports of shopping mania related to Prince William's gray suit.
