Ronni Chasen slaying suspect kills himself

A man described as a "person of interest" in the slaying of Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen killed himself when confronted by police.

Chasen was shot in November as she drove home from a party after attending the premiere of the new Christina Aguilera/Cher movie, "Burlesque."

Detectives tell the Associated Press they were serving a search warrant at a Los Angeles residence hotel when they located the man and tried to question him. That's when, police say, the man pulled out a handgun and shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The L.A. Times reported that the deceased man was known as "Harold" and had recently told one neighbor that he was about to receive $10,000.
