Daniel Craig will return as James Bond
It's official: Daniel Craig will reprise his role as James Bond in the long-delayed third installment in the rebooted 007 franchise.
The Wrap reports that MGM -- whose financial troubles had put the project on hold -- and EON Productions made the announcement today. As previously rumored, Sam Mendes will direct; the movie is slated for a Nov. 9, 2012 release date.
The next natural question, other than how quickly can writers Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan bang out a screenplay: who should the new Bond babe (or babes) be? Rosamund Pike, even though she was technically in "Die Another Day" already? Minka Kelly? Sofia Vergera? Speak now while the script is still being tweaked.
