By Liz Kelly

Crisis averted: Joan Rivers is apparently still welcome on Fox News despite reports that she had been banned from the network after telling TMZ that Sarah Palin was "stupid and a threat" and that it was right to partially blame Palin for the Tuscon shooting in which Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was shot. More morning mix -- including Kelly Preston on "silent birth" -- after the jump...

"Joan Rivers ... welcome on Fox News ... telling TMZ that Sarah Palin" -- The real question here is why would any network interview Rivers about current events. Whatevs, Joanie!

"Owen Wilson names new son Robert Ford" -- Sure hope Little Boy Wilson doesn't learn to shoot guns.

"Jodie Sweetin is engaged" -- As she walks up the aisle to The Wedding March, she will slowly disrobe (cf. "Pants Off Dance Off").

"Will Smith considering 'Annie' remake starring daughter Willow" -- Stop the madness! I suffered enough through "The Karate Kid" and that hair-whipping video. Should I be happy that he and Jada don't have 16 more kids and that a "Yours, Mine and Ours" remake is at least safe?

(And besides, does the world REALLY need a Smith rap song to the tune of "The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow"? You know it's in the pitch...)

Oh, great, now I'm singing "I Whip MyCurlyRedHAIR back and forth, I Whip My..."

"Kelly Preston explains Scientology's 'silent birth'" -- It's like this, see. We're all wearing masks anyway, because you know, it is a hospital. Only in our cases they're sealed with duct tape so we can't talk. Any noise -- and I mean ANY noise -- might cause my kids to hide their true romantic inclinations and not give money to a certain person I'm not allowed to name. John in particular is VERY sensitive about what people think he does in the bedroom. It's quiet there, too, by the way. Not that that's what your asking hahaha haha. What was the question again?

Seth Rogen said George Lucas said blahblahblahblahblah..." is still more interesting that either of their last movies...

"Boy George returns lost icon to church in Cyprus" - Everybody sing: Chara-Chara-Chara-Chara-Chara-Chara-Charalambos/ Icons come and go/They come and go...

Here's hoping Owen Wilson's son doesn't grow up to shoot Sandra Bullock's ex-husband in the back. All the good titles for *that* movie have been taken.

"Will Smith considering "Annie" remake starring daughter Willow." Is this a coincidence, or did it have something to do with Laurence Fishburne weighing a remake of "Debbie Does Dallas" starring his daughter?

I think Sarah Palin is colossally stupid and a whole lot of other things. Oh gosh darn, guess I'm not welcome on Faux News.

And as if they don't scare their viewers enough, they put THAT face on? My God!

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith ... beauty pageant parents much? Yuk.

Wikipedia reports that Joan Rivers "attended Connecticut College between 1950 and 1952 and graduated from Barnard College in 1954 (summa cum laude) with a bachelor-of-arts degree in English literature and anthropology."

Between Rivers and Sarah Palin, I'd think that Joan knows more re current events. And, unlike Palin, Rivers only transferred colleges ONCE!

Now it's news when someone's not pregnant?

Perhaps Kelly Preston should consider giving "silent interviews."......as should Joan Rivers.

Liz, my computer clock stopped working after the browser brought the image of Joan Rivers.

Did anyone have a "What the'?" moment when they read "Mel Gibson may face criminal domestic abuse charges"? Is there such a thing as a civil domestic abuse charge that stands on its own and is not an allegation in some other tort? EP?????

As well, I'm guessing Joan Rivers knows she can't see Russia from her house.

Posted by: Californian11 | January 20, 2011 1:36 PM | Report abuse

With that eye work, Joan probably can't see her hands in front of her face.

Posted by: td_in_baltimore | January 20, 2011 3:27 PM | Report abuse

Ah, but Joan probably still remembers more than Sarah will ever know.

Joan is looking more and more like Jocelyn Wildenstein all the time.

" Joan Rivers not banned from Fox " She should be banned from the Human Race and she should take the senile old Betty White with her . Regis the untalented Phillybin finally got the message , now why don't these two get wise as well.

puck-101, the thing about getting old is that it beats the alternative. Guess you don't plan to get old.
