Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: The Twitter response

After photos of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez kissing leaked on the Internet Monday, the Twitter-verse naturally blew up with expressions of outrage, shock, positive thoughts for the seemingly happy couple and, of course, threats against Gomez's life.

And the Tweets are still rolling in. Here's a round-up of some of the more, um, notable comments, which provide a sense of the spectrum of emotions sparked by the most controversial canoodling of our time. Or at least of 2011 so far.

This Tweeter bluntly suggests that the star of "The Wizards of Waverly Place" must die. And she's not the only one.

Well, to be fair, some of the ones invoking penalty of death at least have standards. Like BieberAmovoce, who only threatens to kill Selena Gomez if she causes Bieber to suffer.
