Kim Kardashian upset about W photo shoot: 'I'm more naked than I was in Playboy'

Back in October, Kim Kardashian appeared confident and totally naked, save for some well-placed headlines, on the cover of W magazine.
But, as we've now learned courtesy of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York," the apparently prim reality show star is anything but pleased about a photo shoot that she calls "full on porn."
"Oh my God, I'm more naked than I was in Playboy," said a distraught Kardashian. "I'm so mad right now. [W] promised I would be covered with artwork. You can see nipple. The whole concept was sold to me that nothing would be seen".
"I feel so taken advantage of," sobbed Kim to sisters Khloe and Kourtney. "I've definitely learned my lesson. I'm never taking my clothes off again, even if it's for Vogue."
The full NSFW photo spread can be seen online. Look really close and you may even see the pain in Kim's eyes.

I feel party to a culturally uplifting moment. The astute eye of the grand philosopher Frank Zappa had a name for her before she was born: Plastic People.

Somebody get rid of this girl...

Wait: it's okay for the photographer, the photographer's assistant, the makeup person, the lighting people, an editor or two, your personal assistant, the photo editor, the art director and who knows who else to see you completely naked, then for those people and a couple dozen more to see the pictures of you naked, but it's not okay for me and Dorkus to see your nipple?
Also, what Mr. Maximus said about the sex tape.

Man, I wish I looked like that.

She's worried about her nippies showing? Didn't she show her hoo-hoo to the entire world in the sex tape she made with Ray-J? She's just now learning not to take her clothes off in front of a camera?

Oh.
I thought Frank's name for her was Suzy Creamcheese.

I'm totally skeezed out and more than a little disappointed in y'all's response. It's dangerously close to "She had sex with him one time, she doesn't get to complain when he raped her."
I mean, Jesus Christ, guys.

Yes, THANK YOU Ogden. I was coming here to say the exact same thing. What, just because people have seen her naked in a sex tape, she must be cool with nudity at all times? People should feel free to pull down her top on a sidewalk and take a snapshot? Yeesh.

Kim, newsflash: You took off your clothes in front of a camera. On purpose. And posed for photos in front of said camera knowing they would be published in a magazine. Though ogdennash makes a point about implied promises. If "[W] promised [you] would be covered with artwork," have your lawyer check the contract to validate your claim.
Either way, it's 2011, and you should know better than to sign a contract to pose naked in the first place if you're going to worry later about your image.
(Side note: That "I'm more naked than I was in Playboy" defense doesn't quite add to your plea for sympathy. Maybe if you donated your proceeds from both layouts to charity, I might ? tut tut on your behalf. But otherwise? Not really, no. Sorry.)
Keep your clothes on next time and focus instead on whatever else it is you do. You DO do something else, right? I haven't really been paying attention.

"Kim seemed to change her mind when the magazine came out, declaring she is 'proud' of the pictures. 'I'm glad I did them,' she said."
You know, I'm so happy for Kim. She took lemons and made lemonade. OK, maybe those are more grapefruity, but you know what I mean.

Let all the haters do what they do best - hate. This woman looks fantastic and she's making plenty of bank too. I ain't mad at her.

Yeah, the "blame the victim" cry would work if she had not VOLUNTARILY agreed to take her clothes off for the particular shoot she is now complaining about. If you don't want to appear naked on a magazine cover, don't agree to take your clothes off.
This situation is a lot different than the "she had sex one time, so she can never claim rape" argument.

I remember seeing their mother on The View. I felt so sorry for her trying to tip toe around questions knowing her girls got famous for nothing that positively contributes to society!!!! The SNL spoofs are dead on hahahaha I can't hate on these chicks because they got millions of idiots to make them richer.....OMG a sitcom said this recently "You know sex tapes only work for white girls" hahahahaha Where is Laurence Fishburnes daughter (sex tape queen) who worships Kimmie hahaaha

epjd, I agree. That's not what people were saying, though. They were saying that since she have been in a sex tape, she doesn't have a right to complain. It's an entirely different argument.

Yawn. So she's trying to revive flagging interest by pretending to be scandalized. I'm still not interested in anything she does.

Agreed, Ogden. Additionally, "Wait: it's okay for the photographer, the photographer's assistant, the makeup person, the lighting people, an editor or two, your personal assistant, the photo editor, the art director and who knows who else to see you completely naked, then for those people and a couple dozen more to see the pictures of you naked, but it's not okay for me and Dorkus to see your nipple?"
That's skeezy too. People have the right to decide who gets to see their body, and letting some people see it based on promises that the shoot will turn out one way doesn't mean she should magically be fine with other people seeing her naked.
Lots to dislike kim k for but if she was told one thing and another thing happened, she's got every right to be upset.

what a twit... glad she made "bank" from whoring herself out and revealing to the whole world what a dolt she is because her and her sisters and her mother have zero talent between them. please slide into oblivion soon.

I take it that the photographer posed Kim Kardashian face on is because a side portrait profile shot would not have fir on the W cover. Too bad, because I would have had a shelf on which to rest my cup of coffee.

Can anyone explain why her and Paris Hilton are so famous? Stupid drama queens with way to much bank.
Posted by: FLvet | January 31, 2011 2:08 PM | Report abuse
Prim!!!! ROFL. Oh, thanks for the belly laugh, Ms. I-became-famous-because-of-a-sex-tape-and- then-posed-in-the-altogether-for-Playboy, where literally everything is on display thanks to a leave-nothing-to-the-imagination wax job.
Irony can be so amusing. Or is it hypocrisy?

So wait, she's complaining about being naked in pictures she posed for while naked. I'll bet she's suprised when she goes to sleep and its dark, and when she wakes up, the sun comes up!!! WOW!

Ummmmm....why did she pose for it? Oh right attention. I guess that's why she's crying too. I wish I hadn't clicked on this article! bad mouse!

These silly women show up in front of the camera with nothing on; so what do they expect? What she has, loads of other women have as well... we just do not go around being photographed for all to see. She will get as rinkly and saggy.....well, I have to laugh. Why is she famous anyway?

They wanted to sell more magazines....But, Kim, how you didn't know you were bare in the first place.

I still don't know why I didn't change the channel last night and actually watched "K&K Take NY" but I can sympathize with the idea that she seems to know she got famous because of the sex tape and wanting to move on. The idea of the artwork over her body would have been a cool idea...
I think she needs to learn to scrutinize every contract that comes her way. Between this and that ridiculous re-loadable credit card - that's no way to solidify a "brand."

If she never takes her clothes off again, she'll smell even worse than she does now.

yeah, she looks great but seriously, isn't the only reason she's famous in the first place is for being naked? does she think she's "redeemed" herself by "acting" in a reality show? If you don't want to be seen as a naked bimbo, then keep your clothes on. At least then you will have achieved half your goal.

I think when the whole reason you became famous was because of a sex tape you should lose the right to complain about people seeing your nipple.
