Zach Galifianakis pits Jennifer Aniston against Tila Tequila

A mystery guest crashes 'Between Two Ferns.' (FunnyorDie.com) A new episode of "Between Two Ferns" is out and, as per usual, good for a few awkward giggles. This time host Zach Galifianakis, king of awkward, welcomes Tila Tequila, queen of manic tweeting. Interestingly, Tila comes off as relatively normal when sitting next to Zach. But, hold up, a surprise guest crashes the interview. What the heck, we'll go ahead and spoil it for you: It's lovable Jennifer Aniston, just in time to promote her new comedy, "Just Go with It." Warning: There is one itty bitty NSFW moment -- specifically two little itty bitty words that, taken alone, are perfectly innocuous, but when uttered together, constitute something you probably wouldn't want your boss or your kids to hear blaring from your computer. Watch at the link....

Help cast the 'Sex and the City' prequel: Miley as Carrie Bradshaw? We don't think so.

The originals: Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall. (HBO) Miley Cyrus would "love" to play Carrie Bradshaw in a "Sex in the City" prequel hinted at by series creator Michael Patrick King. The movie -- still in the rumor phase -- will be based on "The Carrie Diaries," author Candace Bushnell's two-part novelization of the budding fashionista's teen years. Cyrus's name isn't the only one floating around. Blake Lively denied reports earlier this week that she had signed on to play Bradshaw. Who would make a good Carrie, though? We have a few suggestions. And although a teenaged Bradshaw probably won't have met BFFs Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha yet, we thought we'd help King and Bushnell along with some options there, too. Cast your votes after the jump......

The Volkswagen Vader commercial: The extended 'Force' footage

The Little Vader Volkswagen commercial already established its Sith dominance over all other Super Bowl commercials. But its awesomeness may have gotten even greater thanks to these outtakes. Little Vader's masterful attempt to use the Force on an elliptical machine, as well as a dog, is something to behold. Via Buzzfeed...

Miley Cyrus to host 'SNL'; Angelina Jolie not adopting again (for now)

Like OMG! Eighteen-year-old Miley Cyrus is set to host "Saturday Night Live" on March 5. Skit suggestion: "You can put your salvia in there." (see below) [People] Angelina Jolie has no plans to adopt a 4-year-old Haitian girl named Leah. This according to the Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz, who snagged an exclusive statement from the Jolie-Pitt camp: "Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror U.K. and others reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the process of adopting a child from Haiti. There is no truth to these rumors." [Daily Beast] Charlie Sheen is almost a single man. According to TMZ, Sheen and soon-to-be-ex Brooke Mueller filed final divorce papers. Mueller will get primary custody of the couple's daughters and $55K a month in child support. 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never': Critics don't completely hate it

Justin Bieber, reaching out and touching you in 3-D. (MTV Films) It was natural to expect that reviewers wouldn't care for "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never." After all, film critics are (supposedly) hardened, crusty, generally over-the-age-of-40 people who don't understand the sublime nuances of "Baby," Bieber memes and combed-forward haircuts. How could they possibly like a 3-D Justin Bieber biopic? Well, surprise. Some critics are giving the movie positive, or at least halfway decent, reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, it currently possesses a 62 percent fresh rating. Granted, that score drops a bit, to 53 percent, when you filter by "top critics." But still, it's a better average than the reviews yielded for the most recent movies starring Natalie Portman ("No Strings Attached": 52 percent), Anthony Hopkins ("The Rite": 16 percent) and Jennifer Aniston ("Just Go With It": 27 percent). The Post's David Malitz -- who, for the record, is...

Lindsay Lohan's white dress sells out online

Lindsay Lohan -- she's the one in white -- arrives at the Airport Courthouse for her arraignment. (Getty Images) Look out Kate Middleton: You aren't the only trendsetter capable of affecting the fickle fashion market. Lindsay Lohan's tight white minidress -- the one she wore to her Wednesday arraignment... the one that was deemed "inappropriate" by the blogosphere -- has sold out at online retailers, according to ABC News. And Lohan didn't even need to stand next to a prince. The "Glavis" dress, by Kimberly Ovitz, retails for $575 and is from the designer's pre-fall collection. It is -- or was -- also available in three other colors. Though Lohan's choice of "albino" was inspired -- only innocent people wear white and it really made her stand out in all the outside-the-courthouse crush pix. Some are claiming Lohan was paid to wear the dress to give Ovitz some exposure...

Lady Gaga's new song, 'Born This Way,' premieres online. We think Madonna will like it.

Happy Friday. Lady Gaga's new single, "Born This Way," premiered this morning, as promised. It's dancy, bouncy and Gaga-y. It's just the thing to listen to before heading to the multiplex this evening to see Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never." It's vaguely Madonna-esque ("Express Yourself"), but imitation is the highest form of flattery, right? Listen at the link....

The X-Men: First Class trailer: Facebook debacle edition

Update: The trailer finally went live around 6 p.m. EST/3 p.m. PST. Here it is, kids. As we announced earlier, the first full-length trailer for "X-Men: First Class" was supposed to launch on the movie's Facebook page today. But it hasn't happened yet. And X-Men fans are all up in mutant arms. The press release Fox issued did not include a specific time for the trailer's release, but the X-Men Facebook page previously stated that the trailer would go live at 3 p.m. EST/noon PST. As the minutes ticked by with no clip, Facebookers started posting comments along the lines of "EPIC FAIL!!!!" and "This needs to be posted, like, yesterday. come on, fox." and "Im telling you, magneto erased it." (Honestly, the comment thread -- with 1,200-plus barbs and still growing -- may wind up being more entertaining than the trailer.) When I reached out to Fox for an...

Updated: 3:09 p.m. EST The trailer for "X-Men: First Class" still hasn't posted to the Facebook page. Sarah Palin totally did NOT say Christina Aguilera should be deported

We're sure Sarah Palin totally hearts XTina. (AP) Oopsy! Us Weekly mistakenly published some completely fabricated quotes in which former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was said to have blasted nation anthem flubber Christina Aguilera. In the comments -- which were crafted by an Onion-like satirical Web site -- Palin, in a radio interview with Sean Hannity, supposedly called Aguilera a "demanding beauty queen who's clearly in over her head" and suggested she be deported because "spicy Latin princesses" shouldn't be allowed to sing at the Super Bowl. "Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language," continues the satire. "If I were president, I'd deport Ms. Aguilera back to wherever it is she's from and give Amy Smart a call." So this just fills us with confidence about Us's claim that ScarJo and...

Scarlett Johansson 'smitten' with Sean Penn -- Us

With apologies to all the guys who thought they might finally get a chance with Scarlett Johansson after the actress announced a split from husband Ryan Reynolds in December, I regret to inform you that Jeff Spicoli -- aka actor activist Sean Penn -- has already beaten you to the punch. According to Us, Penn and Johansson met when she was staying at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont and bonded over a mutual desire to help Haitian earthquake victims and, doubtless, being fabulous. "Scarlett first reached to Sean when she was planning to visit Haiti with Oxfam," said Us's source. "She knew Sean was living their [sic] in a tent and turned to him for advice." While it's true that there's nothing quite as irresistable as a middle-aged tobacco-stained Jeff Spicoli living in a tent, we hope ScarJo is well aware of Penn's recent split from wife of 14 years, Robin...

Friday Night Lights: Saying goodbye but not yet

Some fans of "Friday Night Lights" -- the ones who have been watching season five on DirecTV, where the show ended its run last night -- are waking up today knowing how the Dillon, Tex., drama ends. And they are undoubtedly feeling a measure of sadness that it's all over. The rest of the "Friday Night Lights" fans? They also know it's over, but that the end for them won't begin until NBC airs the final season, beginning April 15. It's a bit like getting news of someone's tragic death, but not attending the funeral until a few months later. Personally, I've managed to remain completely season-five spoiler-free. I have intentionally not read a single recap, nor have I accidentally stumbled upon any major plot developments from the last batch of episodes. In the Internet age, that's a minor miracle. And for the next two months, I plan to keep...

Lindsay Lohan booked on jewelry heist charge

Lindsay Lohan -- she's the one in white -- arrives at L.A.'s Airport Courthouse for her arraignment. (Getty Images) Updated throughout... A Los Angeles County judge on Wednesday afternoon officially booked Lindsay Lohan on charges of felony grand theft. Lohan, who turned up for her court date in a skintight white minidress pleaded not guilty. Bail is set at $20,000 and Lilo is due back in court on Feb. 23. If Nicole Kidman is in 'Just Go With It,' why doesn't the marketing campaign say so?

Nicole Kidman, just going with it at the movie's New York premiere. (Getty Images) When Nicole Kidman signed up last year to appear in Adam Sandler's "Just Go With It," the Hollywood trades and practically every movie blog on the Internet took note. When production began, media outlets published photos of the Oscar winner and co-star Jennifer Aniston getting chummy on-set and, while shooting one scene, hula dancing together. In other words, it was hardly a secret that she was in the movie, albeit in what sounded like more of a fun cameo than a starring role. But as marketing efforts for the flick have recently amped up, Kidman's name has barely been mentioned. She doesn't appear in the trailer. Her name isn't on the movie poster. And if you check the cast list on Sony's official "Just Go With It" website, Kidman's name isn't even there. One might...

Leona Lewis gets lippy at Justin Bieber's 'Never Say Never' premiere

(Reuters) We can't decide if it would be more comical to compare/contrast Leona Lewis's dress, at right, to Mrs. Potato Head, a bad Rolling Stones tattoo or the carnivorous plant in "Little Shop of Horrors." So we'll just put all three comparisons out there and let you choose. The British popster and former "X Factor" contestant wore the lip-smacking ensemble to the L.A. premiere of Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never" and, shocking though it may be, she wasn't the worst-dressed attendee. No, that honor goes to Miley Cyrus who showed up wearing bell bottoms and a bathrobe: P.S. Play dress up with Lewis here. (Totally SFW.)...

Kevin Smith talks about his 65-pound weight loss

Kevin Smith tends to talk (and tweet) a lot. And during his Tuesday night interview with Joy Behar on CNN, he did just that, speaking at a speed worthy of an Aaron Sorkin script and prompting Behar to ask, "Are you on amphetamines?" We don't think he was. But we do think it's pretty entertaining to keep up with the Sundance controversy generator as he explains that he lost 65 pounds but still wears mega-large hockey jerseys; describes what happened on that famous Southwest flight from which he was removed; and notes that it's not fair to refer to him as a "blimp" in a newspaper headline....

Ashlee Simpson files for divorce from Pete Wentz

Pete Wentz with then fiancee Ashlee Simpson at the 2008 White House Correspondents' Association dinner. (Getty Images) Remember Ashlee Simpson? Jessica Simpson's little sister. The one who flubbed up her lip-synching performance on "SNL" back in 2004, disappeared, then resurfaced in 2006 with a trim new nose. Not ringing a bell? Perhaps you remember her for her short stint on the CW's "Melrose Place" reboot. No? Well, anyway, today Simpson filed for divorce from husband of two years Pete Wentz. You'll surely remember Wentz as The Guy Married to Ashlee Simpson, because we're pretty sure you don't remember him as the bassist of so-so indie rock band Fall Out Boy. According to TMZ, there's no prenup in place and Simpson is asking for spousal and child support in addition to primary physical custody of the couple's son, 2-year-old Bronx Mowgli. Source: TMZ...

As Timothy Olyphant and 'Justified' return, we assess the best current cowboys

Timothy Olyphant: If the hat fits...(FX) Only a certain kind of man can pull off a cowboy hat. Possessing a borderline cocky swagger helps. A twinkle in the eye does, too. And a certain world weariness -- or at least the notion that the wearer of the hat has been around the block more than a few times -- is a requirement. That last factor explains why, at least at this stage, Justin Bieber totally cannot pull off a cowboy hat. But Timothy Olyphant is exactly the kind of guy who can. And as established in this piece I wrote about him, he has done that on multiple occasions, most notably in his roles on "Deadwood" and "Justified," which returns to FX tonight for the start of its second season. But Olyphant isn't the only Hollywood guy sporting a Stetson these days. Let's consider the celebrities who have recently...

Video: Matthew Perry is not sure how to go on without 'Lost'

Matthew Perry's love for the TV show "Lost" -- which, yes we know, is no longer on the air -- has been publicly proclaimed in the past. But the depths of his Dharma devotion was made even more clear during last night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "That's my favorite thing in the history of entertainment," Perry told Kimmel, apparently forgetting that he probably should have included both "Friends" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" in that statement since he was actually on those shows. During the interview, the actor formerly known as Chandler Bing -- or as I prefer to call him, Miss Chanandler Bong -- also poked fun at "Two and a Half Men" and copped to accidentally referring to Jorge Garcia, who appears with Perry on his new show "Mr. Sunshine," as dude. Watch and enjoy....

Jude Law and Sienna Miller split ... again

Law and Miller in 2004. (AP) We were so pulling for Jude Law and Sienna Miller this time around. I mean, she must really have loved the guy -- taking him back after all that unfortunate nanny business and whatnot. But, alas, the couple is not destined for eternal togetherness. According to a spokesperson for Miller, the actress and Law are "no longer in a relationship." Perhaps it's because we never invented an affectionate portmanteau for them. You know "Jienna" or "Liller" or "Maw." "It is mutual and amicable and they are still friends," a friend of the actors told People. Maybe Miller never could quite get over the whole nanny thing. In 2005, Law admitted to having an affair with his childrens' nanny (he has three children with ex Sadie Frost). Or perhaps she wasn't all that comfortable with Law fathering a child with model Samantha Burke in...

Lindsay Lohan to be charged with felony grand theft

Repeat offender Lindsay Lohan. (AP) Lindsay Lohan just can't seem to keep out of the reach of the long arm of the law. Prosecutors plan to charge Lohan on Wednesday with felony grand theft in the case of a necklace that Lohan is accused of taking from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store. The recently rehabbed star has been asked to surrender tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at Los Angeles's Airport Courthouse. The charge could land Lohan back in jail since she's still on probation for a 2007 DUI conviction. And, for the alleged heist, she could face up to three years in prison. Lilo has pleaded innocent in the court of public opinion, saying it was her stylist who mistakenly failed to return the $2,500 necklace to Kamofie and Co. Jewelers. "We vehemently deny these allegations," said Lohan's attorney in a statement. "If charges are filed, we will fight them...

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' = with endo-skeletal shoulderpads

Lady Gaga just can not stay away from the Twitter this week. Yesterday, she tweeted news that the release date for her new single, "Born This Way," had been bumped up to this Friday, Feb. 11. Today (Tuesday) she twitpic'd the cover art for that single: And, at least based on the photo -- taken by British fashion photog Nick Knight -- Gaga was apparently born with built in '80s-era-sized shoulder pads. Which could explain all those outre outfits -- trying to draw attention away from her pointy little shoulder blades. Source: Pop2It...

Paul Haggis on leaving Scientology: 'I was in a cult for thirty-four years'

Former Scientologist Paul Haggis. (Mary Ellen Mark for The New Yorker) "These people have long memories. My bet is that, within two years, you're going to read something about me in a scandal that looks like it has nothing to do with the church." So says Academy Award-winning writer/director Paul Haggis ("Crash," "Million Dollar Baby," "Casino Royale," "In the Valley of Elah," "The Next Three Days") who recently walked away from Scientology after more than three decades as a member of the church. In a wide-ranging profile/investigative piece in this week's (Feb. 14) New Yorker, writer Lawrence Wright interviews Haggis about his disillusionment with the celebrity-courting organization started by "Dianetics" guru L. Ron Hubbard in the 1950s and talks to scores of defectors about the ubiquity of abuse -- including human trafficking, unpaid labor and physical violence -- that allegedly start with current Scientology leader David Miscavage and trickle...

Justin Bieber 'Real Hairstyle' doll freaks us out only a little bit

(Image courtesy Billboard.com) This is a big weekend for Justin Bieber. Not only will his 3-D movie "Never Say Never" hit theaters (along with hordes of swooning tween girls) on Friday, but a new Bieber toy -- the Justin Bieber "Real Hairstyle" doll -- will make its debut at the American International Toy Fair. Why a new doll, you ask? What's wrong with the dolls I bought that came out right before Christmas? "When we introduced the first series of Justin Bieber dolls right before the holidays last year, the most frequent comment we heard from fans -- besides how much they love them -- was: 'Why doesn't the doll have Justin's hairstyle that you can comb?' " said toymaker Jay Foreman. "We heard the fans loud and clear, and we're thrilled to be able to offer them the doll they've been waiting for later this year." You heard...

Christina Aguilera nailed 'Star Spangled Banner' in Super Bowl rehearsal

It turns out Christina Aguilera is perfectly capable of delivering a first-class rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner." And, in fact, she did so in Cowboys Stadium in Texas over the weekend. One problem: Christina nailed the song in her rehearsal on Saturday, one day before her botched performance before millions of viewers. Thankfully, TMZ has obtained someone's shaky cell phone video clip of Christina's rehearsal. It isn't quite a do-over, but the footage does lend some credence to fellow Super Bowl performer Fergie's contention that Aguilera was likely the victim of stage fright. "You know what? It's such a huge venue, your nerves take a hold of you," Fergie said in a radio interview. "I completely understand. She's one of the best singers of our time. Nobody can take that away from you... But you get nervous at these things. We're human." Related: Christina Aguilera botches national anthem at...

Nicole Kidman spills about split from Tom Cruise; Bristol Palin penning memoir

Nicole Kidman at Monday's Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills. (AP) Nicole Kidman is dishing about her 2001 split from Tom Cruise again. Kidman, now married to country star Keith Urban, said that she appreciates obsessiveness in a director, but "not necessarily in a husband." "Dancing with the Stars" vet, abstinence ambassador and political daughter Bristol Palin's memoirs will be published in June, according to Amazon.com listing. Balthazar Getty's father, oil heir John Paul Getty III, died on Sunday in England. The 54-year-old had reportedly been in poor health since a 1981 drug overdose that caused a stroke, leaving him paralyzed. In the midst of an ugly custody battle, Halle Berry insists daughter Nahla is black: "I feel like she's black. I'm black and I'm her mother and I believe in the one-drop theory." Now it can be told: Joan Rivers had a bit of help from body double...

Video: Prince boots Kim Kardashian off his stage

Here's the first rule about a Prince concert: if the Purple One pulls you up onstage, be ready to shake some booty. Kim Kardashian -- who, arguably, currently possesses the most famous booty in America -- broke that rule. The ubiquitous reality show star was plucked out of the crowd during his Madison Square Garden show Monday night, but when Kardashian got onstage, she did not go crazy nor did she get nuts. She just stood there, prompting Prince to say "Get off the stage" after a few seconds and send her back to her seat. In Kardashian's defense, Prince also kicked off the previous woman (who did dance) for being "too sexy." And according to a tweet from Kardashian, she later redeemed herself. .bbpBox34826522791510016 {background:url(http://a1.twimg.com/profile_background_images/178871254/28tanq1.jpg) #f7f2f2;padding:20px;} p.bbpTweet{background:#fff;padding:10px 12px 10px 12px;margin:0;min-height:48px;color:#000;font-size:18px !important;line-height:22px;-moz-border-radius:5px;-webkit-border-radius:5px} p.bbpTweet span.metadata{display:block;width:100%;clear:both;margin-top:8px;padding-top:12px;height:40px;border-top:1px solid #fff;border-top:1px solid #e6e6e6} p.bbpTweet span.metadata span.author{line-height:19px} p.bbpTweet span.metadata span.author img{float:left;margin:0 7px 0 0px;width:38px;height:38px} p.bbpTweet a:hover{text-decoration:underline}p.bbpTweet...

Christina Aguilera to open Grammys?

Christina Aguilera at Sunday's Super Bowl. (AP) Fresh off her Super Bowl "Star Spangled" snafu, Christina Aguilera is reportedly set to open Sunday's Grammy broadcast. According to the site Wayne's World, Aguilera will open the show -- along with Jennifer Hudson and a few other mystery performers -- with a tribute to Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. The site also speculates that Franklin herself, who recently underwent surgery for an undisclosed condition, will make an appearance. The appearance could give Xtina a much-needed image rehab after the Super Bowl fumble heard round the world. Tony Hawk files for divorce from third wife

Tony Hawk. (AP) When it comes to marriage, it's a rough road for pro skateboarder Tony Hawk. The guy who virtually put skateboarding on the map -- and we mean virtually, thanks to the "Tony Hawk Pro Skater" series of video games -- on Monday announced that his marriage had hit the skids. Hawk and soon-to-be ex-wife Lhotse Merriam released this joint statement to People: "We have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain deeply committed and loving parents to our daughter, and out of respect for that responsibility we ask that people honor our family's privacy during this important time of transition. Thank you for your understanding." The couple, who married in 2006, have one daughter, Kadence Clover Hawk. Hawk was married to Erin Lee from 1996 - 2004 (the couple had two sons) and Cindy Dunbar from 1990 - 1993 (the couple had one...

Melissa Leo, seeking Oscar consideration

Melissa Leo, seeking consideration. (Image via Awards Daily) The year's Academy Awards campaign needed a little dose of excitement. And in that spirit -- boom! -- here comes Melissa Leo's self-created, "For Your Consideration" campaign. Leo -- who already looks very well-positioned to win an Oscar for her feisty supporting turn in "The Fighter" -- decided not to leave all the promotional business up to Paramount and Relativity Media, the studios behind the boxing drama. So she placed her own trade-paper ads that simply ask voters to "consider" her. The actress told Deadline, "I took matters into my own hands. I knew what I was doing and told my representation how earnest I was about this idea." But was that idea a good idea?...

In the wake of the Christina Aguilera/national anthem debacle, take our 'Star-Spangled Banner' quiz

Christina Aguilera singing about the home of the brave, to the best of her memory. (AP) Americans have spoken. And what they've said is this: Christina Aguilera, we cannot tolerate your assault on our national anthem. In the poll that accompanied our previous post about Aguilera's Super Bowl version of the national anthem -- a rendition that does not involve ramparts but, in a flub we missed the first few times we watched, does include "the twilight's last reaming" -- a whopping 67 percent of you said that her Star-Spangled error is unforgivable. So just to recap: in the past, as a culture, we've forgiven Hugh Grant for picking up a hooker, Robert Downey Jr. for abusing drugs and Kanye West for intentionally interrupting an awards show. But we're not willing, at least not yet, to forgive Aguilera for screwing up a couple of song lyrics. Granted, it's a...

Weekend box office: 'The Roommate' wins and critics lose

The No. 1 movie in America. Yes, a few of you actually spent a portion of this Super Bowl weekend at the movies. And because of that, we bring you a box office rundown complete with congratulations (to "The Roommate"), condolences (to the critics, who once again seem irrelevant since they didn't get to screen "The Roommate" in advance) and a list of the top five movies in the country....

This, as Jen noted this morning, only solidifies James Franco's status as the Johnny Depp of his generation since Depp himself reportedly passed on the project.

Super Bowl 2011: The non-football-related winners and losers

Mini-Vader, using "The Force" for Volkswagen. (AP) It's the day after Super Bowl 2011 and everyone's talking about Christina Aguilera and Eminem. What year is this, 2000? Seriously, like all big, heavily advertising-oriented sporting events, Sunday's Super Bowl produced some obvious winners and losers. And I'm not talking about any of the players or coaches from the Green Bay Packers (who won) or the Pittsburgh Steelers (who lost). I'm referring to the celebrities and/or pop culture moments that either took the metaphorical Super Bowl ball and ran with it, or totally fumbled. And by fumbled, what I actually mean is forgot the words to the national anthem. Here are your non-football-related winners and losers from Super Bowl XLV. Lindsay Lohan facing felony charges; Shia LaBeouf in bar brawl

Owen Wilson prepares to lob the pigskin ahead of Super Bowl XLV. (AP) Shia LaBeouf was briefly handcuffed, then released, after a bar brawl in Sherman Oaks, Calif. LaBeouf was "sucker punched in the mouth," said one eye witness. Lindsay Lohan will face felony grand theft charges in the case of a necklace that disappeared from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store after the necklace was allegedly last spotted in the vicinity of her neck. Will.i.am was thwarted in his attempt to Tweet during Super Bowl halftime show. After the performance, the Black Eyed Pea managed to get out this AT&T diss: "Att crashed...ahhhh!!!! The worse." Ashton Kutcher had prime game seating, just one row behind former president George W. Bush and one row in front of some cheesehead kid. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino planning leap to big screen. Christina Aguilera botches national anthem at Super Bowl

Update: Christina Aguilera issued the following statement in response to the uproar: "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through." ----- (Originally posted at 9:50 p.m. ET, 2/6/11) Note: This post has been updated to reflect a more accurate description of the "o'er the ramparts" lyric of our national anthem. Christina Aguilera hit all the right notes during her pre-Super Bowl performance of the national anthem. But the right lyrics? Not so much. Aguilera completely dissed both the ramparts and the fact that o'er them, we could see the broad stripes and bright stars gallantly streaming, by skipping that line entirely. Instead she sang: "What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last gleaming." That was a pseudo-repeat of the earlier lyric, "What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming." If you...

Super 8, Captain America and more: Assessing the Super Bowl movie teasers

As promised, Super Bowl LXV provided the perfect platform for hyping a number of high profile movies, including "Super 8," "Captain America," "Cowboys & Aliens," "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" and others. So which blockbuster commercial looked the most promising? Let's take a look at a few, then rank them via a convenient online poll. At the risk of influencing your vote, I must state the following: the trailer for "Super 8" -- which finally showed us an eensy bit more footage from J.J. Abrams Spielbergian epic, yet somehow managed to reveal nothing about the extra-terrestrially focused plot -- made me even more tingly with anticipation for that June 10 release. And based on Internet reaction, I was not alone....
