Michael Lohan to blame for Lindsay's bogus Letterman booking
For a few fleeting hours, we thought Lindsay Lohan would emerge, Phoenix-like, on Thursday's "Late Show with David Letterman" to read a killer Top Ten List that would immediately restore her to A (okay, B) list stardom and kick off an image rehab that has been a long time coming.
But, alas, it is not to be. Lohan herself tweeted that she had no knowledge of the booking and, Wednesday morning, Letterman's folks retracted an earlier release in which they'd touted her upcoming performance.
So what happened?
That's right. Lindsay's sometimes estranged dad tells TMZ that he was responsible for booking his daughter for the Letterman appearance. Not only that, but that Lilo was totally on board until her reps got wind of the plans and quickly shut them down.
"Anything positive that I bring into her life," said pere Lohan, "[her people] try to nix it."
Better luck next time.
