Celebritology covers all the breaking celebrity and entertainment news that's fit to blog about, ensuring that its readers always have the information they need to intelligently discuss Charlie Sheen's most recent rant or the latest unauthorized Angelina Jolie biography. (It's a public service, really.)

But that's only a fraction of what you'll find here in Celebritology. The blog also regularly serves up Q&As with your favorite stars and filmmakers, analysis of all types of celebrity behavior, smart takes on movie trends, explorations of pop culture phenomena and much, much more. And yes, the blog will continue to find opportunities to write about "Lost" whenever possible.

Your guide through all this celebrity and pop culture madness is Jen Chaney, who has spent 10-plus years at the Post writing about everything from Team CoCo to Kevin Spacey, reviewing good and not-so-good films and DVDs, covering the Academy Awards and Comic-Con and, occasionally, making a fool of herself while playing movie trivia games with Bradley Cooper.

Jen's obsessions include Oscar season, old-school MTV music videos, John Hughes movies and pretty much any quote ever uttered by this guy.

Of course, none of this Celebritology stuff would be possible without Liz Kelly, the brilliant mind who started this blog back in 2006 and welcomed Jen as her official writing partner in the spring of 2010. Liz left the Post in March of 2011; while she is gone from Celebritology world, she most certainly will not be forgotten.

So, in summary, what is Celebritology?

It's the place for people who care about what people wear to the Academy Awards as well as which movies win Oscars; the spot for those who want to know who's dating who and which film was No. 1 at the box office; the blog for readers who need to know which celebrity just got arrested, as well as which one just got cast in the big comic book movie of the moment. It is the Internet hang-out for the savviest and (occasionally) snarkiest community of celebrity and pop culture observers a mainstream media website could ever hope to attract.
