Celebrity justice: Lindsay Lohan in court, Charlie Sheen files suit

By Jen Chaney

Lindsay Lohan made a brief appearance in an L.A. courtroom today, where she chose not to agree to a plea deal in the case of the $2,500 necklace she allegedly stole from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store. Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz gave the actress a bit more time to ponder the matter; he will hold a hearing on March 25, at which time she could still accept the offer that, according to an E! Online item, includes six months of prison time. If Lohan sticks with her plan not to plea, a preliminary hearing in the case will be held April 22.

Or, to summarize more succinctly: Lohan came to court in another chic, body-hugging outfit and pretty much nothing happened as a result.

Meanwhile, over in Charlie Sheen's corner of the celebrity justice world, he filed a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, seeking restitution on his own behalf, as well as the entire cast and crew of "Two and a Half Men," for those eight episodes of the show that haven't been shot.

Oh, and just in case you thought that met the quota for celebrity justice for the week, remember: Mel Gibson will reportedly show up in court tomorrow to plead no contest to battery.

Oh to be a lawyer in Hollywood right now.

I want to know the crews reaction to Charlie's lawsuit. I think it might be something along the lines of "Sorry Charlie."

Every time I see a photo of Lindsay Lohan, I know that "it" is still alive!

Too bad such a gorgeous, talented woman has such a "Charlie Sheen Death Wish."
