Clip 'n Save: Lindsay Lohan, Repeat Offender

Update: A judge this morning threw out the warrant after Lohan's counsel reportedly produced evidence of compliance. We stand by our advice, though -- Lilo may have won this battle, but the war is starting to look like a prolonged occupation. -- 12:29 p.m. ET ----- Lilo and stylist Rachel Zoe at New York Fashion Week. Designer Matthew Williamson looks on. (Getty Images) Lindsay Lohan is facing an arrest warrant for violating the terms of her probation for a 2007 DUI conviction. No official word, but rumor has it the violations include breaching driving restrictions by driving to Las Vegas and missing court-ordered alcohol education classes. Lohan reportedly blames the paparazzi for the latter. Sometime Celebritology contributor Lisa Todorovich and I are shaking our heads and wondering how it is we failed so badly back in 2006. Lohan was the subject of our very first Clip 'n Save, back in...

Clip N' Save: 10 Steps to Take Amy Winehouse from Train Wreck to Comeback Kid

Amy Winehouse lunges at photographers outside her London home on Wednesday. (AP) True to form our 2008 Train Wreck of the Year, Amy Winehouse, is on course to end the year with a bang. And then possibly a whimper. Husband Blake Fielder-Civil, for whom Amy has pined o'er these long months of separation, was at last released from jail yesterday. (He was locked up for attacking a pub landlord, then attempting to buy his victim's silence) But, Winehouse was not there to greet him and Fielder-Civil was reportedly rushed off to rehab to fulfill the terms of his release. Instead, Winehouse used this opportunity to line the pockets of some lucky paps who scored excellent shots of an enraged Winehouse, who didn't seem incredibly happy about her husband's new situation. But, we here at Celebritology HQ expect much of our Train Wrecks. Last year's winner emerged as this year's...

Clip N' Save: Saving Pam Anderson's Marriage

For Pam and Rick, reality bites. (Getty Images) Yesterday news broke that Pam Anderson had filed for divorce from husband of 69 days Rick Salomon. But wait -- only hours later the "Baywatch" star was spotted out shopping with her supposedly estranged hubby and posted a message on her blog that she and Salomon were "working things out." Oh how they toy with us. It's a giving time of year so, below, we give Pammy eight surefire tips for saving her marriage. Or, failing that -- weathering the divorce like a champ: 1. Marry Salomon at least seven more times before the end of the year. Obviously, four wedding ceremonies to Kid Rock were not enough to make that marriage stick. I'm thinking eight should do the trick. 2. I'm no expert on the rules of attraction, but something tells me this isn't your most fetching look. 3. Quit...

Celebritology Clip n' Save: A Little Help for Kelly Clarkson

(Sony BMG) Back in 2002, Kelly Clarkson was the first in a new breed of pop stars -- a bona fide minted-by-us "American Idol." Six seasons later, the "Idol" market is awash with wannabe singers foisted on a public saturated with Hudsons and Picklers and Aikens, oh my. You know it's tough when "soul patroller" Taylor Hicks is headlining bars in Dewey Beach, Del. Kelly Clarkson was different, though. She actually caught fire. Her name worked its way into household ubiquity and was given the pop culture stamp of approval when it was screamed as an epithet by "The 40-Year-Old Virgin's" Steve Carrell. She won Grammy awards and Billboard Awards and People's Choice Awards and even Radio Disney's coveted "Best Sleepover Song" award for "Since U Been Gone." And, most importantly, clawed her way into the U.S. pop charts with seven top 10 hits, making her a bankable investment...

Celebritology Clip n' Save: Paris's Prison Primer

A subdued Paris Hilton leaves the Los Angeles Municipal Court Metropolitan branch Friday. (AP) Late Friday afternoon, when most of us law-abiding types were turning our attention to happy hours or "Spider-Man 3," Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer earned himself a life-long berth in Celebritology history by sentencing one Paris Whitney Hilton to spend 45 days in county jail as punishment for violating her probation. Hilton is ordered to report to the Century Regional Detentional Facility in Lynwood, Calif. on June 5, where she will -- we assume -- find out how simple (try three squares and an in-cell latrine) life can actually get. To help Paris through her 45-day exile, amateur celebrity correctional consultant Lisa Todorovich and I offer a few survival tips: 1. Pre-planning prevents poor performance: Review this comprehensive list of chicks-in-prison-flicks for cues from Pam Grier, Tanya Roberts and Wendy O. Williams...

Celebritology Clip n' Save: The 411 for Jeremy Piven's 911

Oh, and lose the hat. (AP) Jeremy Piven has a lot of hugging it out (bitch) to do. The one-time buddy, collaborator, and dream road trip go-to guy (seriously, who hasn't wanted to hit Vegas with the Piv at least once?) seems to have evaporated. In recent months, he's done little to engender good will from fans, old friends or random restaurant employees. He's a one-man walking tutorial in boorishness and this behavior must be curtailed, I tell you, before his personal gaffes eclipse his masterful portrayal of agent Ari Gold on HBO's "Entourage." We used to love the Piv. And we want him back. To that end, sometime Celebritology contributor Lisa Todorovich and I have compiled a list of suggestions to help Piven get back on track: 1. Here's a tip: An "Entourage" DVD is not one. According to this handy guide, "a 15 to 20-percent tip is...
