Randy and Evi Quaid allowed to stay in Canada

Mug shots of Randy Quaid and wife Evi after they were arrested in September 2010. (AP) Randy and Evi Quaid have been granted permission to stay in Canada, safe from the clutches of the so-called "star whackers" they left behind in California. The couple was granted refugee status in Canada last fall, despite the fact that both face felony charges and are wanted on $500,000 bench warrants in the U.S. Since Evi Quaid's father was born in Canada, she was granted citizenship on Feb. 10, allowing her to sponsor husband Randy as an immigrant. "When Evi and I came to Canada last October we could never have envisioned how things would unfold and how our lives would change. Today we're here to say thank you Canada. Thank you for your warm welcome. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to live in peace," said Randy Quaid in a Thursday...

Lindsay Lohan: No plea deal (yet) in grand theft case

Lindsay Lohan reportedly will not strike a plea deal to avoid jail time in the case of the possibly pilfered necklace. According to TMZ, Lohan will go to trial after judge Keith L. She pleaded not guilty to the charges in February, but prosecutors have since produced a surveillance tape showing Lohan leaving the store wearing the necklace. In related news, Lohan was reportedly stopped by cops Sunday in West Hollywood after a Porsche she was driving was clocked at 59 MPH in a 30 MPH zone. Lohan is, of course, still on probation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. We'll update with more details as they become available. Your Browser DoesNot Support...

"We vehemently deny these allegations," said Lohan's attorney in a statement. "If charges are filed, we will fight them...
