How much is Justin Bieber's hair worth? $40,668. Roughly.

Justin Bieber and his (former) locks of love. (Associated Press) Justin Bieber's hair has sold on eBay for a reported $40,668, according to People magazine. Yes, that's the same hair he recently cut, and subsequently donated to Ellen DeGeneres, who in turn auctioned it off as a benefit for the Gentle Barn, an animal rescue organization. The identity of the lucky bidder is unknown at the moment. And what said bidder plans to do with the hair also remains unknown. (Maybe sell it on eBay for $81,336 and immediately double his/her money?) This much is clear: You can still get access to Bieber hair courtesy of this fabulous doll, which will retail for a far more affordable $17.99 in stores later this year....

Justin Bieber gets a new haircut. Cue the screaming tweens in 3, 2, 1 ...

Justin Bieber, he of the strategically mussed coif, has shorn his locks. Or had them shorn by his hairdresser, Vanessa. This according to TMZ, which offers photographic proof: The snipping was done on the set of a music video for a song the Bieb did with country group Rascal Flatts. JB told TMZ what while he was nervous about the cut, he wanted to "change it up" and was ready for "kind of a mature look." Oh, and because the Bieb's heart is thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big, he's donating his hair clippings to be auctioned for charity. Hero. Source: TMZ...

Rolling Stone wants us to know Justin Bieber's opinion on abortion, Korea and other stuff

I've asked my 16-year-old nephew about matters of import and, aside from the 98 percent of the time when he has absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, his pronouncements come off as ill-informed sanctimony tinged with a healthy dose of naiveté and a dash of parroting whatever his parents think. Which is why I would never sit my nephew down for an interview, ask him about stuff like health care and abortion and then publish those quotes here. Granted, my nephew is not Justin Bieber, so maybe Rolling Stone is absolutely right to have published the Bieb's musings on all of the above and more. Since he's got a lot of money and a trademark haircut, he's probably way more qualified than the average teenager. Somehow, we're thinking his publicist called in sick the day this interview was done and is now looking for work. Some choice quotes...

Justin Bieber: The Grammy loss reaction videos

We've all had a day to process the news. But some Americans clearly are still reeling from the fact that Justin Bieber lost the best new artist Grammy to Esperanza Spalding. Take poor young Jonah in the YouTube video above. His Grammy grief was so extreme that Conan O'Brien shared the above clip during an interview with Bieber on his show last night. Jonah isn't the only weeping/outraged individual to respond to the Biebs Grammy snub on YouTube. There are a number of similar videos circulating, and I've highlighted a few of them here. Are these people genuinely reacting, or just acting? It's unclear in some cases. Either way, it's pretty fascinating to watch. Here's another little boy who can't stop crying during the Grammys and a parent who clearly can't stop filming:...

'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never': Critics don't completely hate it

Justin Bieber, reaching out and touching you in 3-D. (MTV Films) It was natural to expect that reviewers wouldn't care for "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never." After all, film critics are (supposedly) hardened, crusty, generally over-the-age-of-40 people who don't understand the sublime nuances of "Baby," Bieber memes and combed-forward haircuts. How could they possibly like a 3-D Justin Bieber biopic? Well, surprise. Some critics are giving the movie positive, or at least halfway decent, reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, it currently possesses a 62 percent fresh rating. Granted, that score drops a bit, to 53 percent, when you filter by "top critics." But still, it's a better average than the reviews yielded for the most recent movies starring Natalie Portman ("No Strings Attached": 52 percent), Anthony Hopkins ("The Rite": 16 percent) and Jennifer Aniston ("Just Go With It": 27 percent). The Post's David Malitz -- who, for the record, is...
