Justin Timberlake: Flashback to some unfortunate, pre-'Social Network' photos

Timberlake, decking the halls. (Buzzfeed) Justin Timberlake has an infinite number of things going for him. He's currently starring in the No. 1 movie in America. He is repeatedly awesome on "Saturday Night Live." Evidently he can spit rhymes from virtually every rap song ever recorded. But even Timberlake has been captured in some exceedingly ridiculous photographs. Buzzfeed has documented this fact with its 25 Most Embarrassing Pictures of Justin Timberlake, most of them taken, not surprisingly, during the 'N Sync years. Let's comment on the four that, at least in my opinion, are the most off-the-charts embarrassing/hilarious. But first, please pause to consider how inspirational this is. If Timberlake can move on from some of these images and eventually find himself in a film that will (probably) be nominated for Best Picture, surely you can get past that hideous yearbook photo where you're wearing a retainer and your...

Jake Gyllenhaal, Ab-solutely Cheezy

Note: We've had to remove the publicity still posted here today (you can see it here, though) after discovering that it was not an offiicially-sanctioned image. Maybe because he was "Donnie Darko" I just always expected more from Jake Gyllenhaal. My faith was shaken, though, as he grew out of his gawky phase, buffed up and started palling around with Lance Armstrong. Sure, he's to be commended for his work in "Brokeback Mountain," but it's been four years -- four long years of pix like this and, worse yet, this one with third musketeer Matthew McConaughey. So it should come as no surprise that a recently released publicity still from Gyllenhaal's upcoming movie, the video game-inspired "Prince of Persia," has been added to the collection here at the Gallery of Regrettable Publicity Stills.
