Spotlight on Brownback

Jeff Jarvis

In his YouTube Spotlight, Sam Brownback says that "I'm on the yellow brick road to the White House" as we see grain silos in the background as his RV whizzes past. How American can you get? "I'm running for this race to rebuild the family, renew the culture." He believes in faith. He brags about being married. He boasts about coming from a small town and casting lots of votes. "I'm pro-life and whole life." He sums up all his stands and then says he wants to hear our ideas. A Hillary video, it ain't.

Senator Brownback may not be as conservative and "apple pie" as he appears. While his conservative supporters weren't looking Senator Brownback has been sucking up to some very radical feminists and other lefties.
Senator Brownback sponsored the International Romance Regulation Act of 2005 with the ultra liberal Senator Cantwell. Read what a mainstream feminist thinks of Brownback's radical law:http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,180487,00.html

Brownback's romance law allows the US government to interfere with the universal right of American citizen to say "hello" to a women in a foreign country without first submitting criminal and personal information before they can communicate by e mail, fax or telephone. Additional background checks are required before the couple can marry in the USA. (Ironically not for National Security)
Senator Brownback took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. The IMBRA law he sponsored with his radical friends is a violation of Constitutional right of free speech, free association, equal treatment and basic privacy rights. Senator Brownback has foolishly aligned himself radical feminist groups who won't vote for him and fails to underestimate the backlash from mainstream conservatives.

Senator Brownback you have some explaining to do.
