Clinton In Iowa On Iraq
Hillary Clinton sits down with a table full of Iowans and talks about Iraq. She's got a three-point plan:
- We're in the middle of a civil war. There is no military solution. Get our troops out of urban combat immediately and start bringing them home.
- "There will be violence unless the Iraqi people decide to stop it." Make it clear to Iraqis that unless they implement political solutions, they are going to be on their own without US support.
- Get back to diplomacy. "We can't be loved by everybody, but we can't be hated by everybody."
Oh, by the way, "We do have to take seriously the threat of extremisim and terrorism," says Clinton. "The terrorists are, you know, they are really evil."
Also note: This looks to be the first time we see former ambassador Joseph Wilson (Valerie Plame's husband) speaking out on behalf of Clinton.

It is great to hear that Hilary Clinton is seriously addressing the issue concerning Iraq. According to the Borgen Project, over 340 Billion dollars have been spent on the war effort and it would be satisfying to see that funding spent on something more "humanitarian".

"This looks to be the first time we see former ambassador Joseph Wilson (Valerie Plame's husband) speaking out on behalf of Clinton."
That explains Plame's lawsuit then. As I thought, it was a political stunt.
