Ads Target GOP Senators on Iraq
The presidency isn't the only thing up for grabs next year. Congress is in play too, of course. And as Chris Cillizza reports on The Fix, the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee (DSCC), today begins airing ads targeting four vulnerable GOP senators: Sens. Mitch McConnell (Ky.), Susan Collins (Maine), John Sununu (N.H.) and Norm Coleman (Minn.).
Cillizza reports that "all four of the senators being targeted with ads are seen as vulnerable by national Democrats. Coleman, Sununu and Collins have long been on Democrats' target list, but the addition of McConnell was unexpected."
The ads use the same announcer, same video, same graphics, and same ominous music. The only difference is reference to the Senator and photos of them.

Get ready for plenty of equally dramatic campaign ads from the parties' congressional campaign shops between now and November 2008.
