New McCain Ad: 'Live Free'

Peter Hauck

Sen. John McCain's got a new TV ad running in New Hampshire. Same old, same old: leadership, character, service, courage, experience, judgment.

Sound Bite: "The character to put America's interests before his own. New Hampshire -- you know who he is."

Senator McCain was the breath of fresh Republican Air that would have convinced me to vote Republican once more. That was 2000 and when he lost to Bush, who I considered then to be a light weight, brought great disappointment to me. When he embraced George W. in 2004, and later on became a backer of the Iraq stupidity, I realized that this man was not the same one I had admired. That man died when he sold his soul for the probability of riding the big plane and the exclusive use of Marine one as his private air taxi. Senator McCain you sold your soul and no amount of Iraq cheer leading is goin to endear you to me or this nation. Please go away.
