The Laid-Back Candidate

Peter Hauck

Fred Thompson is on the stump in Iowa and if he were any more relaxed, he'd be asleep. As it is, he's risking putting voters to sleep. Minimalism is a fine acting style, but is it a winning political style for 2008?

I have not heard any position taken on foreign policy OR anything regarding the issue of Global Poverty. I need to hear the candidates say they will place the problem of poverty at the top of their agendas.

Oh please let this man be the GOP nominee! He looks like a walking corpse and the knee slapping and the facial tics (what is he doing with his tongue?) are tiresome to watch after only three minutes. Actually he looks and sounds old, exhausted and sickly. This is supposed to be the second Reagan?? Please , Fred is a desperation wish for some in the GOP base but he is no winner.

A little late in the game Fred...again. Once again, you prove yourself to be lazy, doing nothing really.

If you are elected president, what will you do when something serious happens? You've been doing nothing since being elected, it stands to reason that you will do nothing if elected president.

No thanks. I'll vote for someone else.

MoveOn didn't start a war based on lies, MoveOn didn't continue the war based on more lies, MoveOn isn't responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, MoveOn isn't responsible for the plunder of the American bank account to pay for this little travesty.

Put the blame where it belongs, which is exactly what MoveOn is doing.

I have yet to hear anything from MoveOn that could, in any way, be construed as untrue. I wish we could even come close to that with this pack of war mongering Republicans, all of whom seem to be doing quite well financially from the event.
