'Desperate'-ly Seeking Votes

Primetime heartthrob James Denton of ABC's "Desperate Housewives?" has taken to t he campaign trail in support of John Edwards, appearing with Edwards's daughter, Cate, 25, at events in Iowa.

Cate Edwards made headlines this past weekend when she said supporting her father was easy. "The choice was pretty easy for me, obviously. Not like Giuliani's daughter." Yikes.

Cate Edwards and Denton visited college campuses, and the actor took the time to tell John Edwards's YouTube fans why he's supporting the former North Carolina senator.

"I'm the perfect reason that John Edwards can win this campaign," Denton says. "I was born and raised a Republican, never voted Democrat in my life until I was exposed to John, his ideas. And it's guys like me that John has to win over in Middle America, and I think he's the guy who can win those votes."

This raises an important question: Does anyone really determine their vote because of a celebrity endorsement? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
