Missing Republicans

Jeff Jarvis

Last night, Jon Stewart roasted the leading Republican candidates who didn't show up for a debate with their own core: evangelical Christians.

Sound Bite: "It must be hard for evangelicals to ask questions into a void, only to wait for answers that may never come."

And Robert Greenwald skewered Rudy Giuliani for not showing up to a debate on African-American issues. Rudy had schedule conflicts. He held a press conference with -- Greenwald shows us -- three reporters and he went fundraising in beautiful Santa Barbara with (still) beautiful Bo Derek.

Or maybe they're just suffering debate fatigue. Aren't you?

I am very suprised that these republicans did not come to a national debate. If I voted, i would not vote for them, becuase this shows that they are not truly dedicated to being President. How can America trust them with America, if they do not even come to a debate?

Current Republicans, including that White House renter are long and loud in Rhetoric but short on reality. Acaually, their rhetoric is their reality, as is clear for the last six years of deceit which has occupied the sound waves eminating from the White House.

May the Republican party find the hole they dug with decit and dishonesty in the 08 election; I can not wait for 08 to find out if the American people are smart enough be be "self-governing' through this electorial process.
