The John Edwards campaign used Eventful, a web company, to have towns across the country compete to get him to come visit. Columbus, Kentucky won the chance to hear his stump speech about being a poor kid who reminds us that his daddy had to borrow $50 to get him out of the hospital when he was born.

Sound Bite: "I'm not the president of the red states, I'm not the president of the blue states, I'm the president of the United States."
