Maya Angelou in New Ad for Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton has called upon a big-name supporter to help her out in North Carolina. The poet Maya Angelou is appearing in a new 60-second TV ad in the Tar Heel State, calling the New York senator "a prayer" for American voters.

Here's the script:

Hillary Clinton is a prayer of every American who really longs for fair play. Working men and women have had their jobs snatched from underneath them, their homes snatched away from them. And what we need, I think, is a person, a President who can make a difference in our country.
She intends to help our country become what it can become. She dares to say human beings are more alike than we are unalike.
I watched her become interested in public health and in education for all the children. And I watched her stand.
I have found the person I think would be the best president for the United States of America.

Angelou previously fronted a radio ad for Clinton in South Carolina.

I have had the greatest respect for Maya Angelou for years! It is a great joy to see a strong, proud African-American woman support Hillary Clinton and acknowledge the work Hillary has done for minorities, children, the poor, and the disenfranchised. Thank you, Maya. Rise, Hillary, rise!!

Maya betrays her true nature. Hillary and Bill are greedy for power and the way they campaigned against Obama is dishonorable and unbecoming. Maya Angelou is simply a prop. Who cares about her?

I hope Maya Angelou has a prayer for the 2 soldiers who just died in Iraq; 4 yesterday. Because of Hillary's cowardice, she voted with great enthusiasm with the Republicans for Bush to go to war in Iraq. 5 years later, over 4,000 americans have died. Meanwhile the Clintons have amassed $101 Million from their connections and speaking engagements. Bill pushed for NAFTA which has rendered thousands of Americans to lose their jobs and have become poor. Maya Angelou is blinded.

DNC nominates Maya Angelou to represent the party come November.

In a dimly lit back room, Howard Dean is seen having his cake, and nearly choking on it too!

I guess she doesn't have to worry about being invited to Oprah's house again.

It's already over, Obama has the votes.

You know, I love seeing the 'hate' comments on Hillary Clinton. Her vote for the Iraq War (for some reason, why is no one blaming all the others that voted for the war? why not put the same scrutiny for Barack Obama for voting for funding of it? Why, if he says he opposes it, his voting records contradict him? Why, if he says he truly oppose the war, why not just vote against all measures of the war?) It is easy to lay blame on a person because its our human nature.

This process is not over and will not be over anytime soon. Sorry Obama fans. But Mr. Obama has a long way to go in order to win the presidency. In order to win that he has to get the working class (which hillary proven she has) he also has to get he jewish vote (which hillary proven she has) he has to get the majority of women votes (which hillary proven she has) he has to get the blue collar vote (which hillary proven she has) he also has to get the gay vote (which hillary proven she has). So with all these things combine, wouldn't Hillary be the better opponent against John McCain?

I am an openly gay man and I wish everyone will read this article on the ins and out of why gays and lesbians are voting for Hillary. It will show how some will be scorned if she would loose the nomination: http://www.gaywired.com/Article.cfm?ID=18852

And for those that just bashed Maya Angelou, do not bash wisdom. Wisdom is what keeps us mature and out of the box. Wisdom brings light to hard issues and hard times.

And it is sad to say that college students are the most naive of types of humans; but when they grow up they will soon realize they dont always know everything. Hey I did, and this happen a year ago, when I graduated from college!
