Same Ad, Different States for Clinton

Hillary Clinton is running "Cost" in both Indiana and North Carolina. The message discusses her energy plans, and proposed efforts to help reduce gas prices -- including a temporary suspension of the gas tax.

"These days it costs 50 bucks to fill up the tank. How can Indiana/North Carolina families afford that? Hillary Clinton knows it's time to act.
"Take some of the windfall profits of big oil to pay to suspend the gas tax this summer. Investigate the oil giants for price gouging and collusion. Make the oil companies invest in new clean energy sources to free us from foreign oil, and bring prices down to earth.
"With gas this expensive, talk is cheap. It's time for leadership."

MY FELLOW "BITTER", STUPID, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE :-)

If you think like Barack Obama, that WORKING CLASS PEOPLE are just a bunch of "BITTER"!, STUPID, PEASANTS, Cash COWS!, and CANNON FODDER. :-(

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary's than they had ever been before or since.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

Best regards

jacksmith... Working Class :-)

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)

If you don't know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering...

You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)

Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don't die from. And I could go on, and on...

Sorry but the primaries are old news.

Obama won a short while after Super Tuesday and a few of the states that followed.

Somewhere along the 10 straight victories, Hillary's campaign must've known that even if money kept coming in, the best they could play for would be to try to extort a VP spot for Hillary.

I can understand Hillary's loyal supporters for feeling disappointed, but I would place all blame on her loyal but incompetent campaign staff. They really know how to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory for a candidate that started with a huge national lead, name recognition, and big money.

If Hillary keeps trashing the Democrats, I'm young enough to be able to vote against her daughter when she runs...

Hillary wants a free media because she is bankrupt. She is a liar, a witch and a race, christian faith divider. Now she is a thief! These debates are all money making for the media; they are running short of substance. HIILARY AND BILL SHUT YOUR UNCIRCUMCISED LIPS AND ROLL OUT. I AM WHITE AND I CAN TELL YOU, I AM SICK OF THESE LUNATICS AND JOKES(BILL AND HILLARY) WHO CONTINUE TO ENRICH THEMSELVES THROUGH THESE ELECTIONS. THEY PAY THEMSELVES THROUGHOUT THIS ELECTION FROM DONORS' CONTRIBUTIONS. ENOUGH OF THAT, I\'M GONNA GIVE MY CASH TO OBAMA AS FROM TODAY! VOTE OBAMA

And it never ceases to amaze, the absolute faith and loyalty that people put in "their" candidate. How "their" candidate is above all reproach, incapable of wrong doing, truthful to a fault, and with the exception of their god, the most perfect creature in existence.

Presidential campaigns (and in truth all political campaigns) for the entirety of our Nation's history have been rife with discord, "negative" campaigning, and behind-the-scenes power plays. The acts perpetrated by the current candidates for both the Republican and Democratic parties have not stooped to a lower level of standards (and unfortunately, has not risen to a higher level) than previous campaigns.

What has changed is exponential increase in entertainment-based media and the related decline and near extinction of journalism. Once it became clear that people were not only easily entertained with trite stories of scandal, but were actually willing to pay for such stories (through purchases of advertised products), things "Seemed" to get worse.

The extension of Cable T.V. and internet access have facilitated a change in the attention of groups responsible for reporting news. As a result of this change, what should be important news is ignored, in favor of what gets the most people looking in your direction, even if such attention lasts a few moments at most.

These changes have gradually made campaigns appear to be worse - a false observation. The instantaneous communication of information across the country now allows people see each and every stop of the campaign made by a would-be candidate. Previously the information traveled at roughly the same speed as the candidate; or perhaps a few hours faster. The information then had to be put into a form which could be disseminated quickly through the masses (printed media) - which took several hours. Add in the amount of time to distribute the new material to the equation as well, and you are looking at a comment made at 1900 EST (7pm EST) being in print by 0600 EST (6am EST) the next day possible. With current communication systems, what is said at 1900 EST is known instantly across the country to every.

Every stop, every word, every gesture is sent everywhere just shy of the speed of light. We are immersed in it.

So, that covers the campaign, lets talk about the job.

Since the office of President was created, Presidents have lied to the American People. It is part of the job. No President can be truthful to the American People about all things. National Security aside, most American's really don't want to know the truth about what our country does. They think they want to know, but when that dark Truth rounds the corner, they wish once again for blissful ignorance. Ignorance allows you live in safety and contentment, knowing blindly that your government is great, everything is fine, Americans should be loved world-wide.

The United States government once gave bounty payments for the death of Native Americans. Not hostile Native Americans, any would do. Thats right, people were paid to go out and commit genocide. The United States government once paid for the importation of cheap labor to the country to help build the Trans-Continental Railroad. This wasn't "legal" immigration. The United States government defied the very Constitution on multiple occasions by having its Military shoot American Citizens (American Civil War, Bonus March of 1932, etc...).

All these were done with the knowledge, if not Authorization, of the President. This position is not a holy office. The person holding the title of President of the United States is not saintly. All orders to end human life by the U.S. Military, Federal Officers, and Federal Judges, are the responsibility of this one individual. All lies about the location and duties of various Covert Operations by the Executive departments of the United States government, are the responsibility of this one individual.

So, when a candidate is accused (rightly or wrongly) of lying, who are we attempting to fool? When they are accused of not being a good "Christian," "Muslim," or person of other faith - and they have to both Lie and Kill as part of their job, again, who are attempting to fool? (Please note, most religions practiced around the world state that Lying and Killing are violations of the tenets of said Faith).

The best Presidential Candidate is neither the most honest, nor most pious. When they espouse the importance of their religion and Faith, they are mocking the Faith they say they follow, and the intelligence of the people they are speaking too. When they point out how the "other person" has "lied," "gone back on their word," "deceived the public," or "been less than honest" - they are showing themselves for the hypocrite they are.

America. People of the United States. The country is for us. Not for them. The politicians are in a position of servitude, not leadership. They do what we order.

The creators of this country wanted the government to Fear its People, not have its people live in Fear of It.

So, when you go to vote. Don't vote based on the Faith, Word of Honor, or declaration of Righteousness of the Candidate.

Vote for the Candidate that knows their place. Knows they are to do what America says. Not what their "Party" says. Not what their "conscience" says. Not what their "Faith" says. But what the People say.

A suspension of the gas tax would be a disaster.

suspending the federal 18.4-cent-per-gallon tax would save the average motorist about $28. But the plan would cost the government $9 billion in lost highway funds and put at risk an estimated 300,000 jobs tied to the funding, according to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
This at a time when the Highway Trust Fund, which bankrolls local and state road and bridge projects, is already facing a $3.4 billion deficit.

The only alternative then would be to borrow from the general fund to make up the shortfall, but doing that would just add to the federal deficit.

Great idea, borrow our way out of debt. Kind of like the campaign Clinton and McCain have run.

THAT JACKSMITH THAT POSTED THAT "CUT-&-PASTE" "YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT ARTICLE" AT THE VERY BEGINNING OF THESE COMMENTS MUST BE AN IDIOT. I WILL BE MOST FLABBERGASTED IF HE IS NOT. I THINK BLOGGERS SHOULD REALLY VET THOROUGHLY WHAT RESPONDENTS LIKE THAT LUNATIC(?) SEND BEFORE ACCEPTING. (HE HAS SENT THAT SAME STUFF FOR 2 MONTHS, WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONS AND/OR MODIFICATIONS). RESPONDENTS LIKE JACKSMITH ARE SYCOPHANTS AND CHEATS WHO MAKE HUGE GAINS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MASSES JUST AS THE CLINTONS NEVER FAIL TO DO WHENEVER FREE TRADE PROPOSALS, SUMMITS AND LECTURES ARE ON THE TABLE. AMERICANS- BE WISE!!!

Oh, let Rev Wright develop the new swearing in ceremony already and let the Obama team wright this country!

Making our highways even more dangerous to drive on because of poor maintenance and endangering the jobs of 300,000 highway workers for the scrimpy $28.00 per person savings involved in suspending the gas tax for the summer is a dumb move. This is the epitome of cheap pandering for votes and it is irresponsible in someone who claims to be presidential material.

Agree with most of what you have to say, but would like to add that Government needs to FEAR the people, like a newly hired employee fears his boss, of the ramification of screwing up the job, or failing to live to to their hired expectations. Maybe, just maybe the time of the two party system has outlived it's usefulness for the general public. Maybe the time is now to start a new process of electing an actual Administration composed of the best individuals, vice party. A selection process vice election process, hmmmmm. All I know is that through history we have dispose of those things that have no longer served the common good. Is it time to re-evaluate the electoral process?

Anyone ever notice that when the media gets dragged into looking at the Hillary Experience there's no there there !

It all evaporates. Look how they had to drag CBS into checking out their own News reports for Bosnia. Sinbad, yes that Sinbad, had to push for over two months till CBS bothered to check their files. They accepted Hillary putting poor ol' Sinbad down as a lair. Shame Shame Shame.

Keep looking and it's all the same. Her next big one was Ireland. Guess What ! Keep going.... nothing there at all.

I totally agree and if the DNC is stupid enough not to back Hillary Clinton [who is CLEARLY the most qualified person with the best solutions for our country] then maybe she should start a new party with the millions of voters that have supported her this far.

ron paul... write in. Most honest guy around, who is also a doctor(the rest are "doctors", too.. Spin Doctors")

Posted by: blorting | May 5, 2008 3:23 PM

hey, I hit stop,but...my comment got posted anyway. Anyhow... I do not believe anything from either party these days..and few are(the most) honest, of the groups.
Kuchinich... honest(for the most part) Ron Paul(still in it..but look up Nevada results from a week ago..they Stopped the convention...for delegates, to make sure McCain wins, same for Maine, I heard)...honest(for the most part).

What do we get? Whomever the RNC/DNC wants us to get..not what people vote for( diebolds can pick the winner...2 ladies in Ohio got locked up for messing with the vote in 2004..look it up)...
whatever.
In a year from now.. will we see(no matter who wins) gas at 2.00 a gallon?
No? I don't think so.
They all make promises...and that's about it.
take care/not offense.

As for my Spin Doctor comment above... that's the speech writers job...before the candidates speak, correct? ;-)

I want to vote for someone smarter than the general public..and most people think a doctor is smart(er) than the general public, right/correct?
Ron Paul, even if he doesn't win anything, has my write-in, or I won't vote for president this year.

Take Care/Not Offense.

Looks like they are trying to keep Ron Paul from being able to speak at the RNC convention in Sept?
