Hillary Clinton Denounces New McCain Ad
DENVER, Colo. -- Hillary Clinton struck back today at John McCain's efforts to woo her supporters in new television ads.
"I'm Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message," Clinton said of the ads that suggest Obama passed over the New York senator because he was threatened by his primary rival. Clinton spoke at the New York Democratic Party's delegation breakfast this morning at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Denver.
Democrats open their national convention today with an ambitious agenda of selling the presidential candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama to a national audience and unifying a party still recovering from a bruising primary.

1. She wasn't truly interested in the job
2. She said/did things during the primaries that made it impossible for Obama to pick her (e.g. "McCain would make a better president")
3. She refused to be vetted unless she was picked.
4. SHE and her husbands miss-dealings would become the story instead of what Obama intends to do for this country.
He couldn't have picked her even if he wanted to.

McCain's campaign has done nothing to bolster their candidate at all because his ONLY claim to fame was his 40+ year old story of his 5 1/2 years looking at the walls of an enemy prison and getting his foreign affairs "experience"!! Actually they have sort of an easy job, so I assume they aren't getting paid too well. All they have to do is watch the successes in the Obama camp, and then twist it all backwards and criticize it all. But, you must understand, they are appealing to the "not so bright" voters in our country who might be simple enough to soak up the ugly, instead of the intelligent ones who wanted to know something about McCain besides his ages old fairy tale! You see~~McCain can expand or contract or alter his fairy tale with anecdotes that he plagiarizes from other writings because NOBODY besides McCain knows the TRUE story, as it has all been sequestered. Nevertheless, was that the ONLY GREAT(?) thing he has ever done?? Obviously his campaign couldn't find anything spectacular that he has accomplished in his entire life to make an ad about McCain himself instead of Obama, which should tell anyone with a brain "the rest of the story."

Maerzie,
Might want to do a bit of research, before just spouting off talking points. Sen. McCain was instrumental in bringing NATO together to act in Kosovo, essentially acting as Pres. Clinton's Foreign Minister. He also one of the Republican Senators to break ranks so something could get done a couple of years ago and get judges and other business done.
What's on Sen. Obama's accomplishment list again? Other than starting a list of what he'd like to be accomplished, that is.
There are a ton of not-so-bright people supporting candidates, and I think most are pinning their 'hopes' on 'change.'

I'm so frustrated by so-called Clinton supporters who say they will vote for McCain. If they truly supported Hillary for her stance on the issues, they already support Barack Obama's platform. If they want to vote for McCain because he has a longer history, fine, but I am listening to what each of them are promising to do, and Barack Obama is the only one with a plan to change ANYTHING, and that plan is best for the american people. His plan is well stated on his website: www.barackobama.com/issues/

Do you think McCain will attract MORE of Hillary supporters if he chooses a female VP especially since Obama has not been able to reach Hillary’s 80% of the forgotten people?
Inside sources say Obama's recent plane trouble was an orchestrated publicity fraud to gain public sympathy and take away attention from his pattern of distracting and polarizing the public with playing the race card and the rich against poor card. Apparently Obama is full of them!!!!!

For McCaint he is getting more desperate every hour and his ad's are becoming stupider....
A wise man once said...
.....“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”
Too Bad McCaint never read Mark Twain....

As for Mrs. Clinton's lack of interest on the issue, it doesn't surprise me. I'm sure she's still bitter about the Obama victory. She's actually doing more than any past politician has in her position.
McCain's ads, although unclassy, are doing slightly well with keeping Hillary finatics off of the Obama train. John McCain needs to take it a step further though and consider a female as his running mate; Kay Bailey Huchinson would be my choice.

We should all seek justice for a woman getting bullied and slammed by the Democratic Party. The way to thwart the Obama regime that has usurped our party is to vote against him. I am doing my part as a Democrat to protect democracy and my country by voting for McCain. Clinton may ask me to vote against integrity by letting Obama get away with this corruption...I will NOT COMPLY.
I demand a fair nominating process and I will not reward corruption of this process with my vote. Not to mention that Obama is not qualifies to hold the highest office in the world.
Clinton will be President in 2012. Democrats were foolish to think they could force Obama on us.

Is that all she said? Not exactly as strong a denouncement as I would like in this situation. Did she, perhaps, explain why the ad's content is untrue? That is, did she dismiss the notion that she wasn't picked as VP-nom for 'telling the truth'? Because that's a pretty ridiculous charge. She wasn't picked as VP-nom because she has a TON of political baggage, more than almost anyone in the party. End of story. To suggest that it has anything to do with speaking truth to power is totally absurd. Hopefully this McCain ad will backfire, by showing how greedily the GOP is seeking to exploit the disappointment of Clinton supporters...
