'Desperate Housewives': Feeling Itchy
First of all, Teri Hatcher should sue the writers for making Susan not just idiotic this episode, but so utterly ham-handed about the concept of having gay neighbors that they dumbed-down her character about 6 levels. Really, awkward Susan is an obvious standing storyline for "Desperate Housewives." But Susan as suburban idiot mom who has no idea how to act around a gay person? Okay, done venting.
Then again, love the crabs. And the crab cakes. To recap: Edie found out she has crabs; which means Carlos has them. And Gabrielle has them. And Victor has them. And the moment where all this connects in Edie's head happens at the baby shower for Bree (who obviously didn't want one, given that, um, she's not having a baby!), when a platter of crab cakes makes its way to all the Connected Infected. Hilarious.

Things are catching on Wisteria Lane. (ABC/Dan Feld)
Minimal screen time for uberwitch Katherine (Dana Delaney) who is now tending to an aunt who may or may not live long enough under Katherine's, ummmm, "loving care" to tell her daughter what bad, bad, bad thing happened the last time they lived on Wisteria Lane.
And Lynette is clearly married to Mr. Bad Cancer Husband (seriously, poor Doug Savant, who has watched his character go from the supposedly good husband in the one healthy marriage on the block to a total jerk). I think he's supposed to be redeemed in the kicker to the episode when he wants to be with his wife when she's not playing the role of a hooker in a sexy wig. I think. Hmmm. But how exactly do you redeem yourself after going Gack! to the sight of your cancer-wife's bald head? Apparently, by embracing it another go-around!? That's the real Gack!, I think.
Bree's manipulative ex-mother-in-law (as in dead Rex's mom) is back, so that the whole storyline with Bree's faux pregnancy and her daughter's real one can get integrated. (Grandma wants to liberate poor daughter from the convent). Didn't really get into that. Far more interested in how they give Ms. Stick and Bones Hatcher a bump. How long can they make her pregnancy storyline work before there is any indication that she's pregnant?
