A Burger Bonanza 'Hero'
Yeah, the heroes can save the world and all that. But they also have some practical skills as evidenced in Monday night's "Heroes."
• Fly Boy can take you anywhere in the world including the top of the "Hollywood" sign.
• Micah can get you free Pay-Per-View wrestling (regular price: $65).
• And Monica, the newest hero, can use a knife to make a tomato look like a pretty flower.
I like this Monica. Her talent is seeing something on television and then being able to replicate that very same thing! (Man, the things I could do considering the amount of TV I've watched). Monica's gift worked out nicely at the end of Monday's "Heroes" when she did some sort of WWE move on a potential burglar at the Burger Bonanza (and she's not management material?)

Fly Boy has charmed Claire, but we're not sold yet. (© NBC Universal, Inc/Chris Haston)
Meanwhile, Suresh, Matt and Molly are turning into a bad version of "My Two Dads" with Suresh in the Greg Evigan role and Matt taking on the Paul Reiser character. Things took a weird turn at the end though when Matt forced, FORCED, poor Molly to track down his Dad. Almost killed the poor little girl (she's just in shock).
Things are getting serious with Claire (who's about to be a cheerleader again) and Fly Boy (he still gives me the creeps). Claire's horn-rimmed pop is not happy with the new arrangement, probably because it could lead to his death.
Sylar meets the Wonder Twins. Coincidence? We think not. This should be a fun trio to keep your bleeding eyes on. They're on their way to New York thanks to dead Derek's stolen Nissan. (Nissan, Nissan, Nissan. Why is that brand name in my head?).
One last thought: I'm glad Nathan shaved. I was getting tired of that George Clooney "Syriana" look.
Next week - Veronica Mars makes her debut.

I hope Kristen Bell's character gets killed off quick. She's more annoying than that girl Eden from last season.
The last thing Heroes needs is little Miss Blonde ambition right now. Besides, we've got Hayden P. and since her character is smart, witty and not trying too hard to fit in with the popular crowd, she's the only blond youngen we need. Kristen Bell is just going to stink up the show.
On one last note, you know that Heroes must be on a very saddening downward spiral when I, a devoted fan from day one, actually enjoyed watching Journeyman more than Heroes.

It's very helpful for new car buyers to see Nissan products, such as the Rogue and Versa, tested in real-life situations - like driving in the desert while trafficking illegal immigrants into the US and transporting Japanese tourists across the US and being involved in a shoot-out with a scheming showgirl, rogue FBI agent, and law enforcement authorities. Stay tuned for what's in store for our line of pickup trucks.
Why doesn't Warren Brown put his cars through these test drives?

"Almost killed the poor little girl (she's just in shock)."
Not to nitpick, but I got the impression she's in some peril--it seems her mind was kidnapped by the bogeyman/Matt Parkman's dad when it went into his building to look for him. And Matt learned this when he heard her thoughts scream "help me." I wonder if he'll tell Suresh, because then you KNOW he'll be all "I told you so," and Matt will be all "you're not the only one with Daddy issues," and Suresh will say "I hate when we fight! Think of our illegally adopted child!" and they'll cry and hug and try to work through the pain. Anyway, I don't think Molly'll be waking up anytime soon.
Wife and I laughed when Matt said to Molly, "He can't hurt you" because he's in another city... Yeah, no one on this show can do anything unusual, right? So don't worry, if he's not in the same room as you you're safe. Parkman is an idiot. So is Suresh but at least he is pretty, "he can always go back to modeling" as my wife says whenever he does something ridiculous.

I think this is really rather unfair. Bell isn't playing Veronica f'ing Mars on Heroes, and neither does she appear to be playing a role that is either young, spunky, or even particularly nice. Man, I wish this show had stayed under the radar so the Snarktastics would have left it alone.

Look, I saw the preview last night, and she seems typecast as the dangerous woman with a sweet face. Yawn.
I hope Maya cries on her.

Ok, last night was the first time I thought Parkman might have a power worth something. If his dad can be that scary there's hope that he won't just be listening in on conversations anymore. Suresh will continue to irritate no matter what he does.
Was Sylar in Mexico this entire time? I was hoping he was stuck somewhere far far away, for a while anyway. I am hoping that the wonder twins don't lose their powers, despite Maya's lack of control, I actually like them.
I thought Monica's power was turning a tomato into a flower but the roundhouse kick to the robber gives her high marks in my book. Now did Micah sense that she has powers or unlock something in her powers?
Anyway, it was a good show again last night.

All i can say is the whole Claire plotline is just dumb stupid melodrama. the line between heroes and dawson's creek is starting to become blurred.
kill the cheerleader, save the show.

I completely agree about the Claire plotline - "You have superpowers too? Then we must be in love! Let's have a cheesy green screen flying date a la superman in the 1970s only not as emotionally convincing." And if he can fly and her biological father can fly --is he secretly her brother? Or did the producers just run out of superpowers to dole out?
Ugh.
Matt's an idiot. Peter Petrelli's love story would bug me if he weren't so attractive. I could watch him mow grass.
If two blondes are too many for one show then I say kill the cheerleader and bring on Kristen Bell. At least she can add a little attitude to the badly written scenes.
I like the new chick in New Orleans. I hope they develop some plotlines for her.
When is Hiro coming back from ancient Japan? He's stuck in the show's other unforgivably cheesy love story. Blech.

3 concerns:
It might just be me but I find the whole Molly-Parkman-Suresh family way creepy in a "bad touch" sort of way.
I thought Skylar was being held in a shack in what looked like the Everglades but in last night's episode he is in arid Mexico? And what's up with the bug (we saw the Uber-Cockroach in prison, on the manhole and now on the brick)
But my BIG problem with the show is just how much time has elapsed since last season. I believe the season premier stated 4 months later. Given Skylar and Claire's storylines that seems reasonable. But with Nikki/Jessica, Michah and Ando it seems like much less time has passed. But on the other end we have Nathan who has become an alcoholic, become estranged from his wife and kids enough so that there is some sort of court order prohibiting him from talking with his kids and then he has seemingly made a full recovery from alcoholism. Can someone do that in just 4 months? And then what did he do about being elected to congress? Then there is Parkman who found out the child, who hadn't even been born, was not his, got a divorce, moved to NY, got a job at a higher rank with the NYPD, adopted Molly while living with another man. I'm confused! How could anyone do all that in the short space of a month?

So, I liked the episode - except for the New Orleans stuff. As soon as she made a comment about "everyone in the county is living in a FEMA trailer" - no one down here uses the term county. They are parishes. They lost me there.
At least do a little research before writing about a certain location. Plus- why isn't her family living in a FEMA trailer????

Much as I like to look at Kristen Bell, do we really need more characters? Bell's character is in addition to the wonder twins, Micah's cousin, and West. We just went a whole episode without even seeing two central characters (Hiro and Peter). The story's going slow enough without throwing in more plotlines.
Also, Parkman is supposed to be a detective. It's not good enough to get a building but he's got to press for floor and apartment number? He's not the brightest bulb, is he?

Maybe Kristen Bell's blonde is the one in the painting, in which HRG is dead? And not Claire, like HRG thinks?

The blog is more entertaining than the show.

Get rid of the twins. Maya cries whenever she feels an ounce of stress and then Alexandro has to make it better. BORING. Kill them now. Don't give their powers to Syler because I don't want to watch people cry tar all season.
Bring on the Kristen Bell. Get rid of the Ireland plot. I like Monica -- let's do something with her. Wrap up the feudal Japan plot in three sentence and move on. Lose Molly. Bring back Niki.

You've got to wonder if the writers and producers even know how the people who are TRYING to stay with this show really feel? Everything I've read online at different sites and blogs bring up the same things over and over...Matt's an idiot, the Wonder Twins stink, get Hiro back to the now, and stop with the melodrama already! Everyone is tired of the whining and the emo-kid attitudes of practically everyone on this show. More action...less soap opera! It's called "Heroes" for G-d's sake...not "Pouty and Confused Little Dweebs!" At least Syler has a backbone, though he'd rip anybody else's out of their body. LOL

I don't get this part: Last season Peter realized he had to think about a Hero to use that specific power. This season he's forgotten all about them and can still use their powers. Maybe he's just gotten better at this Hero stuff, or maybe the writing has gotten worse.
I wonder if Peter absorbed any "powers" from his mom or Mr. Devereaux.

get peter out of fake ireland ASAP.
put nathan and ali larter back together 'cos they've got chemistry.
get rid of molly. she's creepy.
more syler...more hiro...tell the fly boy he doesn't need to make one foot go higher than the other in order to fly. i HATE that.

Anyone else think it a little heavy handed, even for Heroes, to have the twins and Gabriel/Sylar riding around in Claire's missing Nissan? Is it just overt product placement or will it be a critical plot point?
