Iranian president: 9/11 was a U.S. conspiracy

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a highly provocative U.N. speech Thursday suggesting that elements within the U.S. government may have orchestrated the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to justify military aggression on behalf of Israel in the region.

The remarks triggered an immediate walkout by the U.S. delegation and its allies, who accused the Iranian leader of engaging in an anti-Semitic rant.

"Rather than representing the aspirations and goodwill of the Iranian people, Mr. Ahmadinejad has yet again chosen to spout vile conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slurs that are as abhorrent and delusional as they are predictable," said Mark Kornblau, a spokesman for the U.S. mission to the United Nations.

Speaking before the U.N. General Assembly, the Iranian leader portrayed the U.S. war efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq as disproportionate responses to the 9/11 attacks. "It was said that some three thousand people were killed on the 11 September for which we are all very saddened," he said. "Yet, up until now, in Afghanistan and Iraq hundreds of thousands of people have been killed, millions wounded and displaced and the conflict is still going on, and expanding."

Ahmadinejad went on to suggest that the identity of the perpetrators remains an open question, and claimed that that there are three prevailing viewpoints on the matter that should be the subject of a U.N. fact-finding mission.

The U.S. government view, he said, is "that a very powerful and complex terrorist group, able to successfully cross all layers of the American intelligence and security, carried out the attack."

A second theory, which he claimed is held by the majority of Americans, is "that some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grip on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime."

A final theory holds that the attack was "carried out by a terrorist group but the American government supported and took advantage of the situation," he said. "Apparently, this viewpoint has fewer proponents."

In the meantime, Ahmadinejad announced he would hold a conference in Iran next year to study "terrorism and the means to confront it. I invited officials, scholars, thinkers researchers and research institutions of all countries to attend."

It does sound a bit odd coming from Ahmadenijad, agreed, but as nutty and sporadic as he is, he may be onto something. There are quite a few questions that have not been answered, and our intelligence/government is not coming forth with answers as to how building 7 came straight down and what really hit the Pentagon. It surely wasn't a large plane that hit that building. And why is there no wreckage at Shanksville? Were they that fast at cleaning up? Have you seen the photos? No plane there, either. No bodies, no seats, nothing. Some completely objective inquiry should be made into these concerns and others that have been raised about the attack since 9/11. Why are we not willing to look at this?? Whe are Americans so complacent about being spoon fed bogus information "they" want to feed us? This is not theory, folks, these are facts -- where are the answers??

What Ahmadenijad said is no difference than Obamao BSting about human rights and democracy.

How can a president BS about human rights while his soldiers are still commiting crimes against humanity in Iraq and Afganistan? How can a president of a country BS about democracy when a fool was able to steal the presidency once, started two wars that killed so many people, doubled the federal decifit, and still got reelected for a second term?

Obamao should be frank to the world and admit that America is just a demo-of-crazy.

What a crying shame that the good people of Iran, most of whom are under 30 years old and very well read, are represented by wackos and Relgious throwbacks. Iran would have a very bright future on the world stage if their leadership would choose to reflect the learning and high culture of their ancient past instead of the small minded bias and reactionary temperment of a small segment of Relgious bigots.

You wouldn't remember the US support of the Shah, a dictator that slaughtered tens of thousands of his own people with military equipment purchased from the US. We supported him, just like we do the rest of the dictators in the middle east.

He was removed by the people, in a justified revolution. The fact that its has turned so wrong, and the horrible little lying cockroaches now governing Iran are nasty, despicable and utterly dismissable, doesn't mean that we have or will ever be blameless in Iran's historical agony.

I know Obama has admitted truth to what is historical fact in many instances.

It is only in the minds of idiots that the unvarnished truth is wrong, or makes Obama an apologist.

9/11 was probably not a US conspiracy. But, Iran is the most anti-Zionist nation on earth. That's why Iran provokes so much "outrage". Iran does not tow the Zionist line like so many Muslim countries do. Iran see Zionism for the EVIL that it is. We in the West have been brainwashed into having a positive view towards Israel/Zionism. Iran tells it like it is. Of course, we should take the Iranian president's words with a grain of salt. But his words are probably closer to being at least 80% true. ZIONISM IS THE REAL CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY. Irans human rights violations (some real and some only alleged) will NEVER change this fact!!!

Solution is simple "US OUT OF THE UN!" Why waste our time with an institution that is barely more effective then the League of Nations? The UN costs billions and delivers nothing. Yet it is a mouth piece for tyrants and rogues. The UN has not delivered the promised Utopia that was envisioned to be when it was created at the end of World War 2. What is wrong with the posters on this article. The entire "thinking" world understands that the Israeli Mossad wired the three World Trade Centers with military thermite and conventional explosives, the Zionist in the White House had the military stand down. and the Jewish owned and controlled ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, Washington Post, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Newsweek, Popular Mechanics keep yelling Arabs, box cutters, Osama Bin Laeden to cover up the Zionist false flag operation. All the evidence is there for Americans to see if they really want the truth. It's easy to see how Dancing with the Stars, Survivor and American Idol are the main brain sucking tools that the media use to dumb down the American taxpayer. Americans have got to be the stupidest mammals on earth. We Israelis own you Goyim and control your government because you are too stupid to govern yourselves. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should be commended for pointing out the elephant in the room that the world sees but Americans are blind to.

Posted by: Illini | September 23, 2010 6:50 PM | Report abuse

peaceandprotest, you're a bigger whack job than the Iranian president. I'm sorry but all the facts contradict your imaginings. Just because you've found fellow nuts who want to play blame the victim doesn't mean you are right. It just means you've taken a position that is both stupid and twisted.

Those things also apply to the Iranian president. His motivation is the crass manipulation of his own people, and to lie to people vulnerable to believing his lies because looking at the truth means they have to confront things that they find unpleasant. He says things like this to re-enforce a culture of Islamic victimology.

I find it sad that people are so stupid they'd construct idiotic fantasies about this.

The Iranian president can't call this a victory for righteous Islamic imperialists against the "Great Satan" AND have it be a plot that was hatched & executed by those he considers his enemies too. No, the fact is he knows he's lying. It's others that want to be mislead because they're easily confused that believe him.

The truth is pretty straightforward. The people who planned and executed the 9/11 attacks are the ones who took credit for it. That's Al-Qaeda, and their allies the Taliban. It's just that simple.

What is a bit less simple is to count all the people who've been killed by Al-Qaeda and the Taliban as an overall group of like minded fools. The fact is they've killed more Muslims than the USA has in the past decade.

Corporate media and US gov't want to discredit suspicions about the official US 9/11 story by labeling those ideas as "conspiracies". The US gov't IS a conspiracy, built in, to protect itself.

Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld provided us the 9/11 explanation the morning after it happened, and everyone immediately believed it, and now its heresy to disagree with them.

If any intelligent person investigates the 100s of discrepancies and implausibilities of the official story, they'd have to conclude that the official US story is false. Polls taken in most of the rest of world show a majority of citizens believe the US gov't was behind the 9/11 "attacks" to some degree.

I don't know what the truth is, but it's NOT what we're told to believe by Cheney and rest of Corporate media. And knock off this "conspiracy" stuff.

Canadian diplomats walked out on his speech as well. Was the room empty? Did Mahmoud notice? Did Mahmoud care? Is this the equivalent of a rolling wheel chair fight at a retirement home?

Here's one of Mahmoud's theories about September 11th that caused the American delegation to walk out:

"... some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime. The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view."

Here's another of his theories:

"..."a terrorist group but the American government supported and took advantage of the situation."

Here's an article in the Guardian by Michael Meacher discussing his take on why he thinks there was a conspiracy. Mr. Meacher was the British government's Environment Minister from 1997 to 2003.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2003/sep/06/september11.iraq

It sounds like Mr. Meacher and Mr Ahmadinejad subscribe to similar theories, doesn't it?

Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda were fostered, financed and armed by the CIA in our efforts to lure the Soviet Union into a quagmire in Afghanistan.

The CIA and Pakistan's ISI intelligence service began recruiting foreign fighters like those in Al Qaeda because the infighting of the Afghan tribes was becoming unmanageable.

The CIA MAY have cut ties with bin Laden, but the ISI kept him on their payroll and allowed him to receive medical treatment in Pakistan.

The 911 terrorists received funding from Saudi intelligence, Dubai and the ISI.

There had been repeated warnings of a second attack on the twin towers. A Pakistani informant pointed to the towers and told an FBI agent, "those towers are coming down."

Pakistan's involvement has never been discussed, and the 911 Commission falsely reported that there is no evidence of any country being involved in the 911 attacks.

Iran played a role in that some of the 911 hijackers traveled through that country en route to the U.S.

Bush & Co. never raised a finger against al Qaeda or showed the least bit of interest in bin Laden before 911. Whether this was pure incompetence, laziness or something more sinister will probably never be known.

What is known is that Bush's father, as head of CIA helped turn a Pakistani bank known as BCCI into a global money laundering operation and financier for spies, terrorists and arms merchants. The bank, which Time magazine called "the sleaziest bank on Earth" later collapsed, causing serious damage to the world's economy.

The younger Bush squired leaders of the Taliban around Houston before he became governor of Texas.

All of this is carefully documented on the Terror Timeline, a meticulously researched sequence of events related to 911, with precise citations. http://www.historycommons.org/project.jsp?project=911_project

What it all adds up to is probably impossible to say. But don't assume you know the truth just because Mahmoud Ahmadenijad's version sounds crazy.

tootsie11 & ldjuby, sitting in a tree,
Casting blame for bombings upon you & me.

First comes denial of evidence,
then come insanely inappropriate assignations of guilt.

Then they're surprised when other reality-deniers start getting kilt!
--------------------

OK, that was really crappy poetry, and rather mindless commentary. But I just haven't seen any legitimate evidence to support tootsie & ldjuby in their support of Ahmadinejad.

I wholeheartedly believe that we'll probably eventually find out that somebody somewhere in the U.S. government knew even more about possible plans than we've heard yet, and that the information wasn't shared for reasons that included inter-agency rivalry and under-estimation of the threat. Some of that may even turn out to have been influenced by folks who figured a botched attempt would serve larger goals. It turns out that similar things are known about the Japanese attack upon Pearl Harbor.

But I'm pretty darned skeptical of claims that Pearl Harbor wasn't a plot hatched by the Japanese using actual planes with darned little U.S. involvement, and I'm equally skeptical of claims that the 9/11 kamikaze attacks weren't a plot hatched by Bin Laden's associates using actual planes with darned little U.S. involvement.

If somebody has evidence, as opposed to endless speculation, I'm willing to consider it. Lack of large chunks of debris ain't gonna cut it. When large planes go in at speed, there's almost never any big chunks left. Crashing a plane at high speed is a nasty business.

I didn't hear Ahmadinajad's speach in the UN. It would not surprise me given some of his earlier statements if he suggested a previous US government had orchestrated 9-11. He may be as stupid as many (but no doubt a minority) of Americans on the internet that "think" the same thing.

But what Ahmadinajad says in the UN should not be the story. That it doesn't surprise that it is.

What should be better known in the United States than it is, is that whilst the United States government almost certainly did not attack itself on 9-11 it thoroughly undermined its honor AND international law, when it illegally invaded Iraq in 2003 (with the support of Blair of the UK).

One does not have to be muslim to be RATIONALLY anti-American.

It is enough that one wants a rule of law that applies to all and recognizes that that is impossible whilst the US body politic permits its President's to break international laws (against illegal invasion like Iraq 2003) and to enjoy political immunity against prosecution for doing so.

When the rule of law (including the prohibitions against illegal invasions - which occassion mass murder) is set aside by any permanent security council member nation (like the US or the UK) then can be no rational basis for confidence in the UN achieving its object.

Put any group of human beings in a situation when other groups of human beings can murder them (murder being a crime against a social contract - contracts like treaties which promise not to allow aggressive invasion) and some in the aggrieved group will quite naturally and inevitably recognize that the law is not something that can be relied upon and what is left then is force. And force may include what would be classified as terrorism.

The United States body politic of citizens do elect the governments they deserve for themselves but they are also responsible for what their governments do in their name in the world. So in a very real sense when aggrieved people in the world have an issue with US citizens for their failure to hold their representatives in government to international law they have a very good point.

Everybody is trying to shut up families of 9/11 victims because majority of them have concluded that US government is one of the organizers of those attacks. To be exact, George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Ariel Sharon and Tony Blair.
Why be angry at Ahmedinejad; AT LEAST SOMEBODY IS DOING SOMETHING FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE VICTIMS.

Walking out of a speech at the UN everytime one doesn't agree with a speaker, no matter how uncomfortble the message, doesn't befit the host and a case could be made that the UN site should be moved to a more hospitalble location. How about the old advice that you don't have to agree with everything you hear, but you still should give an opportunity for the other to talk. Everytime I hear that the US and its allies walk out on somebody's speech, I envision a spoiled brat who can't stand to have things any way than his own way. Or is the right to free speech now restricted to some people and not to others?

I skimmed through the beginning of the comments, and soon it was just too much. After an article that nicely demonstrates what a wacko nut-job Ahmedinajad is, an endless stream of American wacko nut-jobs signs on and suggests that 9-11 was Obama's fault, that there are important questions about what Bush was doing, and similar evil-minded nonsense.

Jeez. Usually, I find I can be reasonably proud to call another human being a fellow American, if for no other reason than that I can be proud that my nation protects everyone's freedom to have his say. You people make me doubt my convictions.

Posted by: ScienceTim | September 23, 2010 9:16 PM | Report abuse

BrettPaatsch1 - That's fair comment. There are plenty of U.S. policies and actions that I'm not able to justify to myself, let alone to the people who have been harmed by them.

BOBSTERII - That's a little frantic, isn't it? Between the U.S. government, the Red Cross, and a whole bunch of other efforts, the families of the victims have hardly been ignored. No doubt there have been inequities, but given that the perpetrators were all killed in the act and left no large estates behind, I think quite a lot has been done.

Kingofkings - I agree that walking out is not a particularly useful response. But nobody infringed upon President Ahmadinejad's right to address the body. He was able to complete his remarks, and they're on the record.

And brng - brng, brng, brng... What will we do with you? Some U.S. investigations are finished, some are still ongoing, some haven't really started yet. Do you think that you're the only person who still cares about this? You can probably safely assume that each and every review of intelligence policy from now until long after you & I are dead will include exhaustive review of the 9/11 data, and several reviews are still underway.

LITTLE HITLER: AM-A-NUT-JOB STRIKES AGAIN!

Guys on this column, PLEASE stayed focused on "Little Hitler," the Moron from Tehran. He went to the U.N. on American Soil and blamed the U.S. for "9-11."

If YOU were President of the U.S., what would YOU do right now in response?

What should AMERICAN CITIZENS do right now that he is IN the U.S.? How about NOT letting Am-A-Nut-Job fly out of the U.S.; confiscate his aircraft; arrest him for WAR crimes (killing persons by stoning IS against International Law to which the U.S. IS a signatory!).

Or, how about giving HIM a taste of HIS own medicine by AMERICANS by going AFTER him physically; and pulling HIM out of HIS embassy like HIS morons did to U.S. citizens at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran!

Fellow Americans, 9-11 occurred with two aircraft smashing into the towers killing thousands of our fellow countrymen!

Any moronic Iranian president who attacks the U.S. on American SOIL deserves an American response. If this American President is so wimpy that he cannot take that criminal down; then American citizens DO have that obligation right here, right now.

The Iranian people LIKE Americans. The Iranian people are a young and decent people. Their Ayatollahs and their toadies like Am-A-Nut-Job are the ones who hate the U.S.

Why would he be SO stupid as to attack the U.S. here? Because he knows that this President of the U.S. is too much of a coward to confront him. And, the American people know it too.

THAT alone should be grounds for this President's defeat in '12 IF he dumbly chooses to run for re-election.

What Am-A-Nut-Job's speech did today was reveal how WEAK the U.S. Government is that he can stand on American SOIL just blocks from the former Twin Towers and rub this nation's FACE in it, and get away with it.

Americans would do this nation a favor by taking him out while he is here.

OR, if our Air Force just happened to have a misfire of a missile over the Atlantic, well, oops! Bye Bye Nut-Job.

Obama has been no more conciliatory towards iran than simply offering a hand in diplomacy. He has not conceded any meaningful US interests, and he will not do so until Iran concedes some of its own.

This statement by the Iranian president is not to be taken as serious belief. It is political posturing making him a highly partisan force within his own party in Iran and an ideologue representing the disaffected Middle East.

Much as Newt Gingrich is a highly partisan ideologue representing disaffected Republican buffoons.

That doesn't mean the walkout was not an appropriate response. Such specious lies do not deserve an attentive American audience in the halls of the UN.

When the white eagle of the North is flying over head;
and the browns, reds and golds of autumn lye in the gutter, dead;
Remember then, the birds of wings of fire flame, Come to witness springs new hope, born of leaves decaying.
And as new life comes from death,
Love of love, and love of life and giving without measure,
Gives in return the wonderous yearn for promise almost seen.
Live hand and hand, and together, We'll stand, On the threshold of a dream.

Sorry, guys, but I think it was an inside job, too. Check out the 1200 architects and engineers ( ae911truth.org ) who have studied the facts. Check out the pilots, intelligence officers, and politicians from the US and around the world ( patriotsquestion911.com ). There's soooo much evidence against the "official conspiracy theory" and these scientists, pilots, air traffic controllers, spooks, and military officers can hardly even find any proponents of the OCT to present THEIR side of the story (the one about the sheik on the dialysis machine who worked for the CIA and his 19 fanatics.) Do some research!

Explain if you can the pools of molten steel found below all three rubble piles, the free-fall collapses of the buildings and why they even fell down in the first place because of some smoldering fires. Don't you know these are the only three steel girder framed buildings in history that collapsed from fire? Don't you know that the FBI doesn't has no evidence that Bin Laden was involved ( www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm )?

Molten steel, free-fall collapses & the lack of other similar evidence are only mildly disturbing to me, given the lack of news (to the best of my knowledge) of other incidents of large planes hitting really tall buildings at high speeds. But I'll check your sources, and be pleased to join you in exposing this charade if I'm convinced that even a little doubt is reasonable.

According to Cass Sunstein, a 2004 Zogby poll indicated 49% of New Yorkers believed the US government knew of the attacks and allowed them to happen.

President Ahmadinejad is describing a very real awareness amongst Americans that their government is criminally insane and overrun by sadistic globalist megalomaniacs.

Notice all the incumbents being voted out? Notice the farmers markets replacing big corporations? People are sick of it, they are waking up, and the globalist owned media is only further alienating themselves by stubbornly denying or labeling these people as "nutters." They are majority! If you go overseas, the percentage that believes 9/11 was an inside job is in the 80-90's%. Can't blame them, many of them have witnessed first hand the horrors of globalization, be it forced sterilization of 200k in Peru by USAID, land grabbing military units in Cambodia trained by during US exercises like Angkor Sentinel, or Robert Amsterdam, of the Chatham House defending a Marxist terrorist organization in Thailand.

The globalists are a snake, pulled by its tail from the brush by the alternative media and laid out for all to see. Denying its existence doesn't make it any less dangerous.

Posted by: Tony1776 | September 24, 2010 1:52 AM | Report abuse

Oh, and yes, most certainly, 911 was an inside job. I witnessed with my own eyes the US staging an invasion force in July 2001 to go into "some desert country." Those Marines of 1/3 left maybe 2-3 days after 911 happened, already had 2-3 months of training for their deployment, brand-spanking new M4 carbines and already broken in their desert pattern utilities.

Then you have the suspicious stock trading days before - suspicious because it was unprecedented - and the 9/11 Commission exonerated the CIA!!!! officer involved because he had "no conceivable ties to Al Qaeda." Lol, but we are nutters for believing our government was behind it?

Let's go to the PNAC "rebuilding America's defenses" report where they literally fleshed out the entire "War" part of the "war on terror." Like their pre-staged Afghanistan invasion force, the only missing ingredient was justification for rolling it forward. What justification? Well PNAC puts it this way, "a new Pearl Harbor."

Then you have Operation Northwoods, where a group of US generals actually suggested that they attack US targets and blame it on Cuba to instigate an invasion - AND THEY ALL KEPT THEIR JOBS!!! Conspiracy to commit murder and yet they keep their jobs.

But still, we must be nutters for not trusting such a government.

Then, 6 months before 9/11 you have Lone Gunmen episode #1, "Pilot" in which a jet is remotely controlled to crash into the WTC in order to instigate a war for greedy corporations connected with the government to sell weapons and make a fortune.

Consider that Fox, under News Corporation is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations along with the entire inner-circle of war mongering Neo-cons that sold us the war - and also the controllers running Obama's administration. While the MSM will tell us for decades that the CFR doesn't exist, it does, CFR.org, and go read what will be law in 6 months' time.

9/11 was an inside job, even before you look at the controlled demolitions that took place that day. I have yet to see any building, under any circumstance other than controlled demo - collapse into its own footprint. I could grant one tower doing so on 9/11, but THREE!!! ? ?? ?

Sadly, very sadly the Iranian president is not nuts. We, the US, killed 100s of thousands and displaced millions permanently from their homes in Iraq and Afghanistan. We did this without any reasonable evidence that these countries posed a threat to us. We were not only wrong we were barbaric beyond anything I believed us capable of. Denying the grotesqueness of my nations behavior will only amplify its consequences and there will be many for years to come. Years to come.

If they (or you) have legitimate links to NASA or other government agency photos, why not provide direct links? Why run through sites that are trying to run questionable scripts on my browser? Why link to sites like patriotsquestion911.com that are full of dead links that supposedly held important information years ago?

To the 9/11 conspiracy theorists:

Both towers collapsed because a large modern jet aircraft traveling at over 500mph and filled will fuel impacted the steel with such force the fire protective coating blew off or was melted due to the 1500-2000 degree temperatures as the fuel burned in a confined space. When the trusses connecting the floor to the side support beams failed, a simple issue of gravity and mass ensued - the top of the building was heavier than the steel at the impact point could bare and the truss failure resulting in a pancake effect. Precisely what a modern demolition team might design in taking a tall building down in a confined radius. Testing of jet impacts in the 1970's did not involve planes as large as those used in the 9/11 attacks, nor the fuel capacity.

As to the Pentagon attack, just view the local reports immediately after the event and witnesses galore report seeing (and hearing, unmistakably) a low flying jet on approach just above treeline, or actually impacting. The circa 2001 cameras that faced the impact point took pictures in intervals so a jet travelling 15-50 feet above the ground at 500mph simply was too fast, too low to be caught on film. The impact was so great the plane disintegrated mostly as it bore through the outter wall and at least 3 other interior rings. The same effect for flight 93 which impacted as such velocity and angle all rescue could do was wait for the charred tiny bits to burn. No aircraft, humans or seats were fully intact.

This is all a matter of historic record (video) which also includes eyewitness accounts from those professionals who actually were on the scene as first responders. The events of 9/11 were not mysterious and failure analysis explains it all quite simply and logically without any fuzzy science or math.

Conspiracy theorists who avoid or ignore such universally accepted and common sense logic are either intellectually lazy, incompetent or activists motivated by political leanings.

Yes, I agree. I'm not going to say US government was directly responsible for 9/11, but every American should be reminded that our foreign policy in the region over many administrations since 1947 helped create and weaponize extremists like Bin Laden who would attain enough stature and power to form Jihadists terrorist entities like Al Queda.

But Ahmedinejad is most certainly nuts, there is no getting around that!

What Ahmadinejad seems very silly. But there is some truth in what he says. He mixes lies obvious facts.
The way the USA and the EU treats Israel is a gross violation of human rights and a gross violation of international law.
We should boycott Israel until it has cleared all settlements in occupied territory and until they have payed the bill for the water they have stolen from the Palestinians.
Israel is a rogue-state, that intentionally offends each and every American president that demands peace. With Bush and Sharon is was as if Bush was the puppy of Sharon. It also seems that the USA is a colony of Israel. When Israel needs support, American soldiers have to fight and America tax-payers pay the bill. And why? Why is Israel important to the USA? If it ever was important, since the collapse of the Soviet Union is has lost all value. It is nothing more than a stick in the mud on the road to world-peace.

Let's look at some facts:

1. These terrorists were trained to fly the aircraft in American flight schools.

2. They were housed and fed by America.

3. They bedded down with American women.

4. They withdrew their funds from American banks.

Neither Saddam, nor the Taliban, had anything to do with these terrorists - yet, America launched a murderous invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq to "punish" them.

Think about it.

It is intellectually lazy to believe a jumbo jet hitting a reinforced Pentagon would not have it's wings impact the building but fold up go through the fusilage hole and get vaporized, the laws of physics say otherwise. Had there been two wing holes in addition to the "fusilage" hole their story could be believed. Why hasn't the FAA radar transcripts been released? Something appears to be covered up. Same is true of the Pentagon cameras and other video taken by force by our own authorities. Certainly evidence of two jets hitting the Towers was found, why not the Pentagon?

But still many of us see no coincidence or conspiracy in these facts:

--Our CIA and gov't worked with al Qaeda.
--The administration was warned, but not the public.
--NSA sites around the globe locked-up the week before the attack.
--Air cover over Washington took 45 minutes instead of less than 10 minutes.
--The President went on a 10-day vacation on Aug. 6, but didn't get back to Washington until the 12th.
--The President directed the VP to run a anti-terrorism task force to block legislation recommended in the U.S. Commission for National Security Report. The task force was never formed, and the ignored recommendations could have prevented 9-11.
--The FBI deleted the information the Mpls. Office had provided in its warrant to look at the 20th hijacker's computer, those edits resulted in only the 5th warrant request in 20 years to be denied. The information on the computer could have prevented 9-11.

Yes, the man is right. Bush & Co. let 9-11 happen. They should have all been hanged.

One can focus on some of the things that Mr Ahmedinejad said in his speech that the majority of American don't agree with - but does that mean we shouldn't hear anything he has to say? In actuality, Mr. Ahmedinejad asked a very legitimate and fair question: in order to avenge the deaths of the twin towers catastrophe, is it fair to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians as happened in Iraq as well as Afghanistan? No one will begrudge punishment of the guilty individuals involved in twin towers catastroph, but that does not make all the fellow citizens of Afghanistan complicit in the alleged crime. And Iraq, which bore the brunt of the revnge, and continues to do so, to present, was not even an al Qaida sympathezir, with the only thing in common being religion. Does that mean if some disaffected indivduals from Haiti commit a crime against Egyptian citizens, that Egypt has a right to destroy Germany?
An even more appropriate question that wasn't asked is: Who was the biggest terrorist in the events described? The 19 Hijackers who allegedly killed 3,000 or a state that killed over 500,000 innocent citizens?

Frankly, I was wondering the same thing. 9/11 was a little too convenient for the 3 musketeers - Bush, Chaney and Rumsfield. Especially since there's proof that a plan was hatched by these same 3 way back in the Reagan administration to find an excuse for the US to infiltrate that part of the world. They failed with the first Gulf War and 9/11 provided them with the perfect excuse. Ahmadinejad may not be as wacky as our gov't would have us believe. It's very unfortunate that 3000 Americans pay the price on that fateful day so that 3 wackos in our own White House could congratulate themselves for trying to dominate a section of the Islamic world and topple a tyrant in the process.

When Obama floated the implication that the only thing keeping peace from breaking out between us and Iran was Bush's reluctance to "talk" to that country, some of us (including Hillary at that point) said, "how foolish, Iran has an agenda and some dogmatic jerks at the helm...talking will only give them the opportunity to play us like chumps."

But a lot of Americans thought, "finally, we have a president that will make peace with our enemies." Oh joy!

Sounds like Iran shares its sentiments with many liberals and the far left who started believing this nonsense shortly after 9/11, not because of any evidence, but because deep down the left simply believes America is evil and the main problem in the world - no place can be worse - the terrorists etc are all our fault - no one outside of the US would ever do anything as bad as 9/11, only America could.

Its why one sees the Islamists and Socialists in Europe, united by hatred for America and capitalism, dovetailing, and why the same is happening in the US.

The far left amazingly embraces anything that hates the US, i.e. Communism in the past, and Chavez and Islamists today.

Can you blame Iran? All they have to do is site 'Americans themselves' saying the same thing.

No, America is not the most decent, welcoming, open, diverse, and successful nation in human history, yet alone the underwriter of international prosperity and security; no, to the left, who happily and hypocritically take its security, stability, opportunities, and prosperity for granted (while feeling 'entitled' to even more from the 'hated' US) America is simply the Great Satan, center of evil Capitalism and Globalization, the ruthless nation that 'creates' terrorists etc.

Only they see how malevolent and evil it truly is. They are the 'enlightened' ones. They see how dangerous America and Americans are. This feeling of being enlightened and aware of the 'true' American way is cathartic for liberals: it makes them feel special, unique, and indeed duty bound to reveal the true evil nature of America and the road map to controlling the 'devil' and all of her dangerous inhabitants.

Because they have risen above all others and are enlightened enough to criticize their own, they simply consider those against them as stupid, or more commonly racist, bigoted, greedy, blind, or what have you.

They have the true knowledge and eventually develop something of a savior-complex, where it becomes their sacred duty to damn this, their own nation, and save the world from America, and Americans from themselves.

This delusion and internalization of one's own propaganda is what makes liberals who they are today, allows them to sympathize with mass murdering terrorists, curse America, and remain completely and totally deaf and blind to an entire nation rejecting their nonsense.

It is why in the face of overwhelming evidence about dictators and mass murderers outside of America, they can only see wrong and evil in America - it is who they have become, self-declared saviors, who, despite all the criticism hoisted upon them, have a sacred duty to kill the beast from within - it is America in their eyes which is far worse than any Cold War foe, rogue state, theocracy, or terrorist. And it is they that will humble it, control it, and apologize to the world on its behalf.

So it will not be wise simply discard his speech out of intolerances. Certainly, it needs a careful study and analysis about what he has told in UN. To all of you who (A) think it is our/your country, it is not. If it were we would not let it fall into this condition.

(B)To all of you who resort to name calling and cannot debate the FACTS of an issue remember you are entitled to your opinion but not your own facts.

And don't give me the line that this is the BEST place on earth. Being better than some 3rd world arm pit is not living up to our potential.

What follows are THE FACTS.

Ask yourselves these questions.

Do you believe that some papers on board the first plane to strike the WTC on 9/11 survived in perfect condition? (Y/N)

Do you believe that human DNA is more fire resistant than a Boeing 757? (Y/N)

Do you believe that a bandana could survive a plane crash in perfect condition?
(Y/N)

Do you believe that an object can move through the path of max resistance as easly as it would through air?
Max resistance in this case would be passing through over 100 floors of the twin towers and all of the related box columns and steel supports that made up the building? (Y/N)

Do you believe that by turning off a planes TRANSPONDER that it will vanish from radar contact? (Y/N)

If you answered NO to any of these questions then you do not believe the "OFFICIAL VERSION" of the 9/11 events, and if these events are lies and all 4 major publicly hyped events on 9/11 are connected (by the media, and Govt.) then you should ask yourself the next question who is lieing and for who's benifit? It is not for the Arabs. FACTS either are things as they are, or they are not facts. There is no such thing as a little bit pregnent.

If nothing else you should grow a spine and read the 9/11 Commission Report about the first plane to strike in NYC.

Google 9/11 commission report

File Format: PDF/Adobe Acrobat

Work your way down to the section
"WE HAVE SOME PLANES"
Go to page 5 and start reading and see how long you can keep making yourself buy the Emprior's New Clothes.
Being an american takes more than a bunch of flag waving and singing at ball games
It takes real courage, not name calling and putting your head in the sand, while your (their) govt screws you and your neighbors, and you get to pay for it.

Ahmadenijad has company. Lots of Americans believe in "cover-up" theories about nearly everything: Roswell NM, Elvis' death, the Bermuda Triangle, the Illuminati, the JFK assassination, 9/11, Saddam's WMD, Obama's birth certificate, etc. Millions of Americans adhere to "facts" they recall hearing somewhere, they can't remember precisely where, but "know" to be true. Millions follow the word of a Beck, a Limbaugh, a Preacher Whatzit, or a Dr. Doo-Doo.

Should it be any great wonder that Iranians elect an Ahmadenijad, if we may soon elect a Palin? Obama's response to Ahmadenijad was rather lucid, yet our Wingnuts will still spew out accusations that the two are "buddies" or some such. For every Iranian wacko, we probably have 100 here.

No, Obama is simply getting good counsel: China and Russia would nullify an embargo, Iraqis and Emirates merchants would circumvent it and get rich, and it would do no more to change Iran than our embargoes have chanced Cuba or NK. Wise people (Republican Sec of Defense Gates among them) certainly tell Obama that there isn't any "limited war" option that would work either. Air or missile strikes would fail. And if the "just nuke 'em" option is supposed to be so great, then why not let Israel do that itself? Perhaps because Israelis know that wounldn't stop a bomb program, but merely assure it, and that there would be horrific consequences. Republican nut jobs would be the first to complain about $25 / gallon gasoline and rationing.

We were stopped at a light at the Korean War memorial, about to go past the Kennedy Center. We all watched the plane go down. The light changed and no one moved. Some of us got out of the car.

To @ tootsie11

YOU SAW the plane hit the pentagon? Not a plane and a fireball?
The govt. released pictures from a security camera (by the way at first the govt. said that there were NO pics of the strike, then months later these show up.) please look at the govt video/pics at this link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsWZHKIg3C

If the white smoke/vapor trail is from the engine due to as some claim the plane impact with the street lights then there should be in the pic a Boeing 757. Where is it? Even if it was going as fast as some claim it would obscure the objects behind it.

If as JimGoldbloomVA claims,
"The impact was so great the plane disintegrated mostly as it bore through the outter wall and at least 3 other interior rings. The same effect for flight 93 which impacted as such velocity and angle all rescue could do was wait for the charred tiny bits to burn. No aircraft, humans or seats were fully intact."

Just how did the govt identify all of the passengers (PENTAGON) via DNA? By the way none of the ID'ed were the Arabs.
Also the PA crash which he discribes that was so bad did have one convenient survivor A BANDANA! Don't believe it? Go to

http://www.killtown.911review.org/flight93/debris.html

and see for your self. The govt. (FBI) presented it as evidence at the Moussaoui trial.
Again you can have all the opinions you like but not your own facts.

Also JimGoldbloomVA claims this "Both towers collapsed because a large modern jet aircraft traveling at over 500mph and filled will fuel impacted the steel with such force the fire protective coating blew off or was melted due to the 1500-2000 degree temperatures as the fuel burned in a confined space. {not according to the govt. They said that the fuel was consumed in the initial fire ball.} When the trusses connecting the floor to the side support beams failed, a simple issue of gravity and mass ensued - the top of the building was heavier than the steel at the impact point could bare and the truss failure resulting in a pancake effect. {If this is true how does the building come down at "FREE FALL SPEED"?}
Precisely what a modern demolition team might design in taking a tall building down in a confined radius. Testing of jet impacts in the 1970's did not involve planes as large as those used in the 9/11 attacks, nor the fuel capacity.

I work in a FORGE and the conditions in the WTC towers in no way were near the temps required to melt or weaken the steel members to the point he claims.
Dark thick smoke = oxygen starved fire thus the heating conditions were not possible. You need a constant supply of fuel and oxygen as well as a mixing device like those present in O/2 acetylene welding or burning. those were not the conditions present.

When the facts are considered on their own merret the "OFFICIAL version falls to peices. Some one is lieing. And it is not the evidence.
So you keep on fooling yourself and the powers that be will keep screwing you.

I agree with the Iranian...I don't like him & his attitude, but I think he's right to question the circumstances behind 9-11.
There are too many questions that have not been explored. My spin on it is multi-faceted...

In the military, such an event could be referred to as a diversion...

The "Patriot Act", a prescription for a police state, could be regarded an ultimate goal of the event. It's effectiveness in preventing further "terrorist" attacks is questionable...After all, most of our European allies have had even more strict security since the '70's, but have been successfully "attacked" while we have not been. On the other hand, the ones were attacked just happened to be ones who happened to be critical of Persion Gulf II and our actions in Iraq, Afghanistan & Pakistan. My rationale...A number of "false flag" ops during the Cold War that were intended to discredit the Communists in their countries. From my comments, you would be correct if you perceive that I question as to whether or not the measures are really intended for our protection.

Second facet...While we're watching our activities in the Middle East, we're not keeping a close eye on what's happening at home. That's one of many reasons why the economy went south...If no one's minding the farm, it's easy for the foxes to raid the henhouse. This, in addition to the last administration's blatant support of "laissez-faire capitalism", led to the way things went down.

The third facet...During the Bush Administration, governments in countries
were being overthrown with military coups,
civil wars & "thrown elections" in record numbers. Governments that favored our policies or permitted business deals that favored U. S. businesses came into power. This happened in much the same way it did during the Reagan Administration when over 37 covert ops were conducted in the name of opposing the "Axis of Evil".

In response to the number of negative remarks about Amineajad's (?) attitude...He's entitled to his position.

In 1951, a U. S. / British / Israeli coalition sponsored a military coup in Iran...Their country was occupied for 14 years while we trained their secret police, SAVAK, to ensure a pro-Western government remained in power. We also supported Saddam Hussein with weapons & intelligence during the Iran-Iraq War...
Guess who the middle man was? Don Rumsfeld. The same guy who worked to get North Korea the nuclear reactors they're supposed using to create nuclear weapons...
He's also the man who, along with Dick Cheney, drove the agenda on Iraq.

You guys need to ensure that the stuff you hear on the news is accurate before you make decisions that support various positions sponsored by the "liberal" media! Otherwise, you may live to regret supporting their positions on things!!!

tootsie11: You have to be careful when reading or watching those 911 conspiracy papers and videos. I will agree that there are some questions that have not been answered but the authors of the articles and videos also conveniently leave out information that could easily disprove their theories, and highlight the information that could push their theories forward.

My brother was talking about this very topic and told me this: If Bush had anything to do with it the planes would have missed the buildings and hit each other mid-air.
