N.Y. imam: 'Every option' being considered on mosque near Ground Zero

By Karen DeYoung

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said Monday that he and his advisers are considering "every option" on what to do about the controversial Islamic community center they plan to build two blocks from Ground Zero in New York City, including delaying its construction or relocating it.

"We are exploring all options as we speak right now...working through what will be a solution that will resolve this problem," Abdul Rauf said in an appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations. "Everything is on the table."

At the same time, he said, it was "disingenuous" of those who oppose the planned location of the center to claim it is "hallowed ground" because of the lives that were lost in the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center towers by Muslim extremists. "There is a strip joint around the corner, betting parlors," Abdul Rauf said. "It is hallowed in one sense, but it doesn't add up. Let's clarify that misperception."

The planned center, he said, was an important part of his efforts to raise the voices of what he said were "99.9 percent of Muslims in the world" who find terrorism "absolutely abhorent." "I need a space, I want a space where the voice of the moderates can be amplified. It's not good enough to teach here no students will hear you."

He said the planned center "will be a place for all faiths to come together as partners, stakeholders in mutual respect. It will bring honor to the city of New York and to American Muslims. The world is watching," he said. "I offer you my pledge, we will live up to our ideals."

He placed objections to the construction and discrimination against American Muslims in the context of historical "rejection" of minorities, including "Jews and Catholics, Irish and Italians, blacks and Hispanics," and said that "now it is our turn, as Muslims, to drink from this cup."

In recent years, Abdul Rauf has made four State Department-sponsored overseas tours to Muslim-majority countries as part of efforts by both the Bush and Obama administrations to correct "misperceptions" about U.S. policy and Islamic life in the United States.

The imam of a mosque 12 blocks from the World Trade Center since 1983, he said, "I belong to this neighborhood. I am a devout Muslim, I pray five times a day...and I am also a proud American citizen. Let no one forget that. I vote in elections, I pay taxes, I pledge allegiance to the flag, and I am a Giants fan."

Echoing remarks on inclusiveness made by President Obama Saturday at a commemoration on the 9th anniversary of the 2001 attacks, Abdul Rauf said, "It is not just my story, it is the American story. It is your story, and that of your parents and grandparents."

Excellent idea !!!
Create a platform where the voices of moderate Muslims can be amplified!!!
--------------------
Pls consider to build this platform in Saud Arabia or Egypt.
Do it the Arab language. It will not be effective in English in an infidel country.
This is the way to amplify the moderate Muslims/
Pls define as well the values that will be promoted.
Will you deal with the main issues difference between all world 21 century cultures and Muslims?
Leading to the many arm conflicts between Muslims and all the other cultures.
----
!!!21 century cultures narrative is based on:
All culture can coexist peacefully.
No one demands world supremacy.
Human rights and opportunity for all.

!!!! Muslim narrative:
Islam worldwide by sward.
No human rights,freedom of speech,
The non Muslim culture are inferrior and treated as such
-------------

Thank you for reading.
Could you reply to the above simple questions?

It is time for Peace, Enlightenment, LOVE, and HEALING at ground zero. I pray for love and healing to blanket the residents of New York City and America
We can begin the process by playing this song at the site of “Ground Zero” over and over:

"Heal the World":
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow.
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space, make a better place.

Chorus:
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me and the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place for
You and for me.”

Michael Jackson sings it better than I can write it.
Please click on the video link below (or copy and paste in into your address bar)
and read, listen, and pray to our creator for “Healing”.

Thank you, Michael Jackson.

Is the proposed site for the new center already being used for worship services and other activities?

Proposed ‘Ground Zero’ YMCA condemned ASAP

Plans to build a new YMCA two blocks from where the World Trade Center once stood in New York City are drawing attacks from those who believe it’s an affront to those who died in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

These critics point to Christian extremists such as cult leader David Koresh, Olympic Park Bomber Eric Rudolph, anthrax hoaxer Clayton Waagner and anti-abortion assassins such as Scott Roeder and Michael F. Griffin as reasons why an entire religion should be condemned for the actions of a few wing nuts.

While the controversy had been simmering for days, it really heated up when former House Speaker Newt Gingrich went on the attack, asserting there shouldn’t be a YMCA near ground zero because there aren’t any churches, synagogues or YMCAs allowed in Saudi Arabia.

“I realize I’m rationalizing my position by invoking an extremist dictatorship, but we should abandon our Constitution whenever it’s convenient and it fits my agenda.” Gingrich said. “America is experiencing a Christian cultural-political offensive designed to undermine and destroy our civilization. This ‘Y’ sounds like a real threat to this nation. Did you know it’s going to have a pool?” (continued…)

Americans could care less about the Islam religion of the Muslims, other than Christians who have compassion for their souls and desire their salvation in Christ Jesus. No one is against an Islam mosque or hates the Muslim religion. Americans are righteous in their opposition to the location near Ground Zero of an Islam mosque. The reason is clear and justified.

The terrorist attackers said they were motivated by Allah’s holy war against Western U.S. infidels of the Muslim religion. Why can’t Obama and Bloomberg understand opposition to the location of the proposed religious structure?

American tolerance of Muslim practices is example of tolerance acceptance greather than any other place in the world. The racism and bigot labels are slanderous and should be censored by journalist.

Imam Rauf put out a threat against Americans with a recent statement, if not at Ground Zero, it could “spark a violent backlash”; we ask by whom? Is Rauf referencing to Muslim terrorist. Obama and Bloomberg supposed leaders of the American people have betrayed us. Why are they disrespecting the 9/11 families of victims?

Imam charlatan Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan want to build the mosque that is a church structure of the Islam, Allah God of the Prophet Muhammad. The have a lot of money and want the mosque located near the site of the World Trade Center twin towers for NY public view.

The Imam, Rauf Muslim Mosque wants to replace the World Trade Center (WTC) twin towers destroyed by an Islam religion “holy war, jihad” of the Muslim world 9/11terrorist attack on the homeland of the U.S.A. killing thousands of innocent civilians. Public message: “Bring down the WTC and replace with Islam Mosque.”

Great article about Imam Rauf by Ibn Warraq on nationalreview.com. Warraq reports on Imam Rauf's duplicity and dishonesty as he says different things to different audiences with the eventual goal of the establishment of Sharia.

all praise to God who has created man out of his love, and who has given us the ability to love and to feel love.I ask God to help me to say the things I wish to say to you now.The land which we muslims wish to build on around ground zero cannot become a mosque.I say this as a muslim. For a mosque is a sacred place of worship where joy is found and we cannot worship with joy where so much misery of our fellow man exists. We can however build something entirely different. And this I will call the house of Abraham/Ebrahim.A place where christians, jews and muslims can come and pray each with his own area set aside as well as a common area.A place where we will see Gods promise to abraham come in to being. Each group will have autonomy of their design and all funding will be provided by muslims from across the world. This is my pray. Its 3.00am let me sleep

Instead of fighting them, let us pose a challenge to Imam Rauf to make the Center a tribute to the progress we have made in a world where we are often divided by hate and misinformation. To do this we need to challenge our beliefs, dig deeper and get beyond the inflamed rhetoric of manic Muslim clerics, misguided liberal louts and conservative con men.
Let us demand that the people behind Parc51 make their Cultural Center the most open-minded, inviting, cross-cultural and all-religion-encompassing Islamic destination in the world; a testament to equality and religious freedom that exists in America, that the Imam travels the world touting. Delay everything until at least November 3rd. I have a funny feeling most people will "all of a sudden" stop caring so much about it.

Essentially, Rauf has realized he's about to reach the end point to which he can gain fame and power from this issue. Hence, it is time to move on. Let the project die. Then he can hit the talk circuit and talk about how he did so because he's a man of peace, how we have a problem with extremists Americans, and I would be surprised if he calls on Muslims to unite in America in some way. All of which, like the building of this "mosque" will sound good on the surface but have a sinister motive. Rauf is to American Muslims what Jesse Jackson was/is to black Americans. A man using this division as a means to power.

Yes, those good, patriotic Americans who are shuttling between the sacred betting parlors and the sacred strip joints should be spared the sacrilege of having to see a community center placed squarely in the middle of their sacred temple of vice and corruption.

Shame on those pesky Muslims for even considering such a project. Don't they know that all 1.6 BILLION of them are responsible for Bin Laden's little Saudi Boy's Club?

The amount of Christian hate coming from Americans over this is appalling.

City zoning permits the exact use of the building that the Muslim community has planned. Since 9/11/01, citizens have had the opportunity to make all of Manhattan a no-Mosque, no-Church, no-Synagogue zone. They didn't.

The victims of 9/11 are remembered at a plaza that enshrines the footprints of each tower and at a memorial center there too. Why do they need even more?

Our heroes of American justice assure that every U.S. person is free of illegal associations and all their projects are legally funded. So it isn't neccesary for the Imam to disclose his funding sources otherwise.

Anything less than full speed ahead on the Islamic Center is empowering the worst elements in society. Legitimizing bigotry helps no one.

Odd that he never mentioned these establishments before (which were probably there long before 9/11). Did he miss them when the property was being surveyed.

Or perhaps one of his "moderate" Muslims decided to take a little turn around the Mosque site, and decided to have a little fun time to celebrate the end of Ramadan, before he reported back to Rauf.

1st of all, if talking about the 'right' to build there, I will agree with anyone arguing that unless there is a zoning ordinance that prohibits it, the 'right' to build a mosque there exists.

Is it therefore right to build it there? Even if I grant the Imam the claim that his sincere desire is to promote a more "moderate" Islam, I am not convinced the effect will be that at all. This is Salt on the wound, gasoline on the burning flag. It will make things worse, despite any motives to the contrary of *some* people, who may eventually find they have control of their unrealistic dreams!

I would tend to think it would act more as a lightening rod. There will be those defending it, and because others defending it have "tainted" backgrounds, the only real effect will be to forever "taint" themselves and loose all credibility. They can spend themselves that way foolishly, should they choose, but I will have no sympathy for them when they whine about being unfairly labeled. This "taint" will be on both sides, and will aggrevate people on one side who see it as an affront, while diluting the message of "moderate" Islam on the other side to nothing more than worthless drivel in their eyes.

Worse yet, it fairly invites someone like Timothy McVeigh to do their own radical response, and that response is *not* at all likely to promote "moderate" Islam or any kind of healing whatsover. Plant the seeds in this soil Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and I suspect Allah will hold you accountable for the crop you most certainly will reap. You may indeed be righteous in what you are doing, but will righteousness be what you will ultimately produce? And who of all of us is truly righteous in the sight of the Almighty?

I will not condemn you, but I will speak against the wisdom of the course of action that would put this mosque where you should wait for the passing of a generation before attempting anything along these lines. I will not call you a fool, but I will call this course of action foolish.

God be with you!

What happened between May and August to make this such a contentious issue today?

Why was Laura Ingram "for" the idea before she was "against" it?

When did Ann Coulter develop "sensitivity" to the feelings of 911 victims and their families?

How long after the November mid-terms will this continue to be an issue outside of NYC?

Now that the koran burner in FLA has backed down (thankfully) it is time for islam to backdown and show good faith, a few ideas:
1. Build the mosque elsewhere, perhaps Saudi
2. Release ALL three hikers who were kidnapped by Iran without having to pay a ($500,000) ransom.
3. A PR campaign in islam telling muslims that they enjoy civil rights in the West.
4. A PR campaign in islam teaching them what civil rights are.
5. Go to school, not a maddras.

I hope Congress finally wakes up and federalizes all land within 3-6 blocks, even a mile of Ground Zero, and makes it a national battlefield monument, so that no house of worship can be built there, or anything else owned by private hands. In the meantime Rauf might as well be walking on the Sun.

What's the next B/S stunt THOSE guys have planned? So if *I* have to worry about what Islam will do if the mosque does NOT go in, these guys should surely worry about what happens if the mosque DOES go in. It's a hideous age. How about they consider doing the right thing and move the mosque. Obama, his cronies and the press hounded the heck out of the little minister with a flock of fifty who chose to do the right thing. When are we going to see the press, Obama and his merry men give that questionable imam the heavy handed treatment? And frankly, the minister had every right to do what he wanted on the church's private land. Let us see this imam will do the right thing.
I demand an investigation into this imam who claims to have serviced 500 muslims five times a day and gave his wife's rental apt. You would think that her neighbor's would notice 500 muslims going up and down the elevator five times a day.
And what about that greasy waiter with the rap sheet who came up with 4.8 million. Did he rob every table? This whole thing stinks and I am outraged our state department sent this so and so on a mysterious mission on our dime. What happened to liberals claims of separation of church and state or does that not apply to muslims? There are funny connections to a donor who gave money to a group indicted in Richardson, Texas for funneling money to Hamas.
They need to do the right thing and move the mosque. In fact, they could move it out of the country and it would not be too far for me. I would like to know how questionable people like this get in our country. Oh I forgot, Obama left the back door open.

99.99% of Muslims against terrorism? Ummm read polls from after 9/11 where many Muslims (some countries over 50% of the population) who held favorable views of bin Laden. Furthermore hardly ANY "moderate" Muslims condemned 9/11. 50-60% is hardly 0.01%. The Ground Zero Victory Mosque is evil!

Posted by: drewsterdawg | September 13, 2010 6:16 PM | Report abuse

Change the text change the outcome – otherwise nothing changes.

99% of Muslims may say they disagree with terrorism but the reason terrorism continues is because a Muslim seventh century view of what constitutes terrorism, as reflected in the Quran, is vastly different from a Democratic twenty first century ideology view.

A Muslim Imams version of what is peaceful is quite different from Democratic societies because both are based on diametrically opposed textual constructs. One attempts to control every aspect of a citizen’s life the other endeavoring to maximize the relative independence of the citizen.

There are clear differences between the notion of innocents in a modern twenty first century secular ideology and that written down clearly in the seventh century Quran.

This is the whole point humanity has never had the so called 'moderate' Muslim without the 'extremist'. History has shown this from the very inception of the Islamic religion.

The very notion of what is Peaceful coexistence with other, as depicted in the Quran, are all qualified against the continuance of other being able to express their ideas and opposition to Islamic teachings openly – subject to ‘grievous harm’. This is the main theme of the Quran subjugation of other, not peaceful coexistence to all, which simply does not exist in the text unqualified.

Given the textual template remains in the Quran, which clearly in almost every page promotes ‘grievous harm’ for dissenters against the Islamic religion, the reality, which is the integral fusion of extremists and moderates as in any Muslim community will remain as will the terror.

Platitudes of the Imam cannot hide the terror Islam will continue to impose on humanity, as it has since its inception if humanity accepts you can have ‘moderate’ Muslims without also having to suffer the ‘extremists’.

To Americans, every square inch of our country is hallowed ground.

This is a man who does not have America's interests at heart, only muslims and islam. (lower case intentional)

A strip joint around the corner, and betting parlors are just a good reason for not putting the Mosque there since both are against their teaching if I'm correct. If someone were to insult Islam as the Imam wants to insult the memory of those who died on 9/11, there would be riots around the world. Yet Islam wants the world to be tolerant and is the least tolerant of worlds 3 major religions. Another problem is some of the words used by this Imam in other interviews seem to imply a threat. His "rejection of minorities" reasoning is just self-serving BS since, not one of the 9/11 hijackers were Jews, Catholics, Irish, Italians, Blacks or Hispanics. Before you go on and support Islam go on educate yourself on the religion and even this Imam as many Muslim leaders do, change their message depending on the audience. What many tend to forget is that the 9/11 attacks was not the first time Muslims tried to bring down the towers.

This is an interesting article. But there are a few questions.

1. Will Rauf discuse who are the "partners" with whom he is considering "every option."?

2. As for "hallowed" ground. If enough American citizens say it is hallowed ground, then it is. I ask the imam about the concept of ijma' (consensus) in Islam, which holds that Islam is anything that a consensus of Muslims says it is.

3. 99.9 % of Muslims think that terrorism is abhorrent to Islam? I ask, and wonder, how versed he is in the Koran and in the hadith of the blessed prophet? Is the good imam not aware of what is happening within the Islamic world today?

4. And the planned center is a place for all faiths to come together? Well, then, will he allow Muslim women to pray in the physical presence of men in that wonderful center? It would be nice, I suppose, to see sunnis and shiites mingling freely together -- but it would be a good idea to have metal detectors at the doors. And athiests, of which there are a few in NYC: will they be offered a chance to participate in the cultural dialogue that is promised?

5. He equates the experience of Muslim immigrants with the discriminations faced by earlier groups? I suggest that those earlier groups did not espouse a belief in which divine authority unequivocally stated (a) their superiority over other faiths; and (b) that there is no separation between church and state. The Muslims' cup is indeed dipped in to a different well.

6. Finally, imam Rauf is in no position to pledge anything. There is no individual, no legislative body in Islam (I should say sunni Islam) that has the authority to speak for all Muslims.

After looking at Vile, bigoted, racist opposition,It is becoming apparent modern day America is getting farther from these universal ideals.
These Poor guys get their face slapped being too idealistic in a society where 18% are functional illiterates and has long history of Bigotry, persecution and racism against minorities.

So Rauf is eluding the 99.9% of the 1.5 billion do not live by the words of the Koran?...they are not true believers? after all doesn't the korna promote murdering us non-muslims as infidels? Well, I guess that makes everything just grand. So we only need to worry about that pesky .1% (15 million) who want annihilate the United States and the west.

Does Imam Rauf agree with Grand Ayatollahs Nasser Makarem-Shirazi and Hossein Nouri-Hamedani statement that: “Undoubtedly, the blood of a person who burns the Koran should be shed,”?

Does Rauf believe the fatwa calling for the death of those who burn the Koran is valid and appropriate and is consistent with the Koran’s teachings?

When he preaches at the Ground Zero mosque will he endorse or renounce fatwa’s calling for the death of anyone?

He is stalling, saying it is being built for understanding, building relationships, whatever sounds nicey nicey. The goal is to have a Mosque built on our people's graves so it can be shown in the madras' that the Great Satan is weak and feckless and can be defeated. It is to serve as a rallying point for jihadists. Gen Petraeus is correct in the short run but what about the long run. It may cost us many more lives than facing the problem now and having it not built at the graves of our 9-11 victims.

“Muslims must not take the infidels as friends.” Qur'an 3:28

CAN MUSLIMS BE GOOD AMERICANS?
This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish
And send it on to everyone. Maybe this is why our American Muslims are
So quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities. Can a good Muslim be
A good American?
This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. . . . Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon
God of Arabia .
Religiously - no.. . . Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah
Except Islam (Quran, 2:256)(Koran)
Scripturally - no. . . Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of
Islam and the Quran.
Geographically - no . Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he
Turns in
prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. . . Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make
Friends with Christians or Jews .
Politically - no.. . . Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual
Leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America ,
The great Satan.
Domestically - no. .. . Because he is instructed to marry four Women and
Beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34 )
Intellectually - no. . Because he cannot accept the American
Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the
Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. . . . Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran does
Not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot
Co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or
autocratic.
Spiritually - no.. . . Because when we declare 'one nation under God,'
The Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to
As Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran

Most of the Muslims I know go to the USA for financial or Mental freedom but there is no joint efforts from them to show there sincerity to USA.

Please cite me the number of Muslims who collectively protested 9/11 or any other atrocity that happened instead they want huge support from the masses. Many condemn the US in the name of government policy but can die for an American visa.

They cant think beyond their religion but want the world to understand them in a better light and the best example is the Imam.

I am just an honest observer from Pakistan.

BECAUSE the people that live near ground zero will make a riot and destroy this community center and it's true but also very sad because there very much wrong it's like americas going back to 20th century, being racist and unfair to the muslims.

Islam is ORGANIZED CRIME operating under the guise of religion, and the Quran itself is AN INSTRUMENT OF CRIME. For it commands ALL Muslims [not some or a few of them] to kill, oppress and annihilate all who don't believe as they do.

See this educational video here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib9rofXQl6w

Additionally, each and every right under the Constitution is subject to restraint or forfeiture, if it conflicts with the constitutional rights of others. For example, we all have the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness under the Constitution. But if you kill your neighbor because his dog crapped on your lawn, you can lose all those rights.

So too things like the "Jim Jones kool-aid party" and what the Qaran commands are NOT protected under the Constitution. Courts are required to apply the "balancing of the scales" analysis, when opposing sides in a case maintain that they have a right under the Constitution. And the judge must determine WHICH side has the greater claim to "right" under the Constitution and which side would suffer the greatest harm by allowing the opposing side to exercise the right that they claim.

To put things in perspective, YOU play the judge in the following case, then tell us your verdict:

Side A alleges it has a right to kill, oppress and annihilate anyone who believes differently than they do.

Side B alleges that they have a right to NOT be killed, oppressed or annihilated.

So please tell us, WHICH side, side A or side B, would you rule in favor of.

If you say side B, then your initial argument has been admitted by you as frivolous.

If you say side A, then you have no respect for equal justice under the Constitution.

Not only should the Ground Zero mosque NOT be built, but Islam and its vile Qaran should be BANNED BY LAW, and all Muslim groups PROSECUTED under the RICO Act, and all mosques and other property owned by them confiscated by law. The mosques can thereafter be converted to homeless shelters or put to some other good use, instead of being nests of infestations of evil.

rog 1 You said that leadership in the country has taken too long to squelch this rhetoric. I realize the Obama administration is doing everything it can to squelch our rhetoric. But we have free speech in this country to counter just this sort of thing. We have free speech to voice when we think something is terribly wrong. We have a beautifully written document called the Constitution that even this President would like to ignore. This administration has trampled on this paper and it is time to set things straight.
Now back to the mosque. The little minister did the right thing. Let us see this questionable imam do the right thing.
And they can pay the back taxes on this little piece of real estate to the tune of approximately $300000.. They owe back taxes and accrued interest. These people do not even pay their bills but then the WH staffers owe over $837,000 in back taxes.

It would be wise to move the center the memory of 9/11 is too fresh in the minds of so many people in this country of a variety of backgrounds and faiths. If we as a nation or a specific religion such as Christianity were to place a center near the Kaaba it would be regarded as being disrespectful. Remember that in order to receive respect one must give respect. Why intentionally fan the flame of controversy?

Hi everyone,

Read the following speech, which I found in the internet and was delivered last Saturday in NY.

http://www.geertwilders.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1712&Itemid=1

This speech sums it all. My questions are why should Muslims be awarded certain rights which they offer to NO ONE. And why should they be allowed protection of the same system/idiology which they want to overthrow. And how far should the West go on turning its other cheek whenever it is Hit. Till the everything worthwhile is destroyed. Hasn't West learned from history and both the world wars?

Where were the voice of the moderate moslims worldwide when the ancient Buddhist statues were destroyed in Afghanistan? And where was Hillary Clinton and the other politicians then? Is it because Buddhists don't go around killing innoncents in the name of religion? How many Imams and Muslim religious scholars till today made public proclamation declaring that the terrorists who hit Twin Towers as NON muslims.

I am not a Republican, but at this moment Obama is acting like a Trojan horse, weaking the west from within.Isn't he aware of how much destruction Islam has brought to the world, including temples & universities in India, Indonesia, Europe, etc. since centuries. Doesn't he feel the pain of the people who lost their families, children, etc under terrorist attacks in NY and other places in the world. Or does he just want to misuse our laws and systems (for egs. quoting the American founding fathers) to weaken the free world even further. Doesnt he realise that Islam is more of an idiology then a religion, which wants to replace everything else. Would the founding fathers of America agreed to building a Fascists monument at Pearl Harbour or a Communist centre near White House?

Please read history, be aware of what is happening around the world and at least try to feel the pain of people who lost there dear ones in this cowardly attacks, instead of trying to make political and moral statements around the world. Learn from history, appeasement makes Evil only stronger and leads to more bloodshed. Obama should finally learn to love US instead of loving and feeding its enemies. In the name of helping people he has already given billions of US tax payers money to Pakistan, which at the moment is focussing all its efforts in building nucleaur weapons. In fact, it is today the fastest builder of Nuclear weapons and nearly all terrorism worldwide is linked to it directly and indirectly, thus Obama is in fact indirectly helping terrorist. Read the last research of London School of Economics and the Wikileaks. Obama and his advisors are financing exactly the same institutions and peoples who are creating and supporting the terrorists who are killing and attacking the brave US soldiers. And unfortunately for us Europeans, this US government will cause the decline of US and pull Europe down with it.
