Is that right? KFC offers $20K scholarships -- but you'd better tweet fast!
Colonel Sanders wants to help with your college tuition.
But he'd like you to ask him in a very specific way.
Today is the LAST DAY to submit a 140-word tweet (message on Twitter) explaining why you have sufficient "dedication to community and education" to warrant consideration for one of more than 75 scholarships of up to $20,000 KFC will award this year. But if you miss today's deadline, or if tweeting's not your thing, you can still apply on-line starting Dec. 1.

We all like to complain about fast-food companies' pulling publicity stunts to brighten their images. But you know what? I can't see a downside to this scheme. It's not even as though you have to buy a bucket of chicken to qualify.
