Anne Arundel CC hosts Jill Biden
Jill Biden, a community college professor who happens to be the wife of Vice President Biden, toured Anne Arundel Community College on Wednesday to review the school's plan to double the number of students who earn degrees, certificates or credentials by 2020.
Joined by Education Undersecretary Martha Kanter, Biden participated in a pastry-making class in the college's culinary arts program.
Biden will lead the Obama administration's first Summit on Community Colleges on Oct. 5.
The second lady is an associate professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College, one of the first vice presidential spouses to hold a job while in office.
(Here's her faculty listing -- sadly, she does not have her own Web page, nor a campus phone number or e-mail address.)
