The Morning Line: Thanksgiving Comics, in Six Minutes or Less
Welcome, Cartoon Nation. During this busy holiday season, when your schedule is packed tighter than a turducken, 'Riffs offers a reader service: Here are your Six-Minute Comics (less if you speed-read), to save you valuable time. And Happy Thanksgiving.

OBSESSIVE ANOREXICS WITH SUPERIORITY COMPLEX
CELEBRATE FOOD THEY OBVIOUSLY SNUB
We like that Frazz encourages exercise. We embrace that he practices what he preaches. But judging by today's strip, we imagine four out of five doctors would warn that overtraining can produce such symptoms as extreme smugness, occasional narcissism and bouts of moral superiority. Sometimes, it's better to use your piehole for exactly the purpose God intended: pie.

SPACE GUY CARVES TURKEY -- OR VICE VERSA.
Mama always said, Cooking a bird the wrong way could be dangerous. Love the uber-casual body language of the duelling Rogue Butterball in "Brewster Rockit." Come tomorrow, eager to see who beats the stuffing out of whom.

CURTIS MINUS CURTIS = POETRY
On this day of giving thanks, would it be rude of me to simply say: Today, I'm very thankful that the oft-whiny Curtis does not appear in his own strip?
Thank you for the genuinely heartfelt sentiment, Mr. Billingsley -- well-said.
On a day rightly devoid of a snotty tirade, we appreciate "Curtis-Minus-Curtis."

INVERTEBRATE UNABLE TO FEEL
SPINE-TINGLING PLOT TWIST
"Lio" meets "WYH": Now here's a wacky spinoff I'd pay to see. Great visual with the squid-zilla (aka "cephalapod"). Laffed. Out. Loud. Well-played, Mr. Thomas. Well-played.
Which of today's comics made headlines to you? 'Riffs welcomes your comments, no matter how morally superior they may be.

I think slitterst is right: it's Cthulhu, one of the Elder Gods, and our doom!!

Comic Riffs is a blog devoted to the comics fan. Come in, sit down and put your feet up as we celebrate, contemplate, eviscerate and pontificate on cartoons.

I believe Lio's cephalod pet is supposed to be the Cthulu, H.P. Lovecraft's epitome of extreme horror.
