The E-Mailbag: Vote for Your "Mark Trail"

Yesterday, 'Riffs put out the casting call for "Mark Trail: The Movie" -- the sendup flick that, in a just universe, should be made.

Today, it's time to cull the hotly touted candidates, courtesy of commenters, e-mailers and the Caribou dude who handed me my espresso IV drip.

Who's your Mark Trail? Clockwise from top left: Jon Hamm, Rupert Everett, Jake Gyllenhaal, Stephen Colbert, Tom Cruise and Ben Affleck.

Here are the actors who could don the official Trail khaki and get into the spirit of the thing, it seems. You're the casting director -- you make the call:

The heck with Mark Trail.... I have a confession to make.

Well, if it were not a send-up I would nominate my tall, dark, handsome, and ethical businessman-conservationist father. Mark Trail looks like a cartoon version of him.

I'd go for Steve Carrell if you can go to a round two of voting. I did vote for Hamm, because he looks best for the role best among these choices.

PS Where is Aria? I miss her lately.
