The Week's Seven Most Terrifying Cartoons


Every week, as we cast our java-fueled gaze upon close to a thousand separate cartoons, there are inevitably a handful of images that might prompt a spit-take (if coffee didn't stain the carpet so stubbornly).

Some cartoons disturb the senses, if not the solar plexus, for reasons we know not. Some are physical, some are fiscal. Some pain the pocketbook, while others harpoon more mortal fears. So here they are, from the realm of editorial cartooning: this week's seven most disturbing 'toons -- in which most of the seven deadly sins seem tidily touched upon.
