Mother's Day: Give the Gift of Cartoons
Mama's Day is still a few days away, but as a thoughtful reader service -- in case you need a reminder today to send that card, those flowers or that economy-spurred plea to move-back-home -- Comic Riffs offers a holiday special.
Sunday's funnies will be so thick with Mother's Day cartoons, you won't be able to swing a Garfield suction-cup cat over your head without hitting one. But until then, try these editorial cartoons on for size -- and if you've got a fave, feel free to comment below. (And now if you'll excuse me, I've got a Peanuts card I've gotta drop in the mail. Stat.)

Comic Riffs is a blog devoted to the comics fan. Come in, sit down and put your feet up as we celebrate, contemplate, eviscerate and pontificate on cartoons.

Some of these cartoonists seem to have lingering issues with their mothers.
