'Wolverine' Poll: You Tell Us--How Much Will It Make?

Comic Riffs blogger Michael Cavna and his superhero-lovin' Post sidekick David Betancourt attended a press screening of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" earlier this week. Cavna thinks the film will satisfy the bigger "popcorn" audience, largely because Hugh Jackman elevates the movie above its flaws in plotting. (He also predicts you will see such cheesy headlines come Monday as: "Wolvie Claws Way to Top Spot!"

Betancourt predicts that fanboys will be divided and that the online leak of the uncut film could cause a dent in box-office business -- though he thinks it'll still do healthy business.

So today, 'Riffs puts the question to you. How much do you think "Wolverine" will gross this weekend in North America:

  • Less than $85 million (below studio expectations).
  • More than $85 million -- but it won't crack the magical $100 mill.
  • More than $100 million -- but less than such record-breakers as Spidey and "Dark Knight"
  • More than any superhero-based film. Ever!

And the figure I saw was $87 million. Barely satisfactory.
