BREAKING: DC Comics names new honchos

By Michael Cavna

DC Comics is hailing it as a creative "dream team."

DC Entertainment announces today that it's tabbed three very familiar talents to a trio of top spots.

According to DC, "The new senior executive team includes Jim Lee and Dan DiDio, who have been named co-publishers of DC Comics, and Geoff Johns, who will serve as chief creative officer of DC Entertainment."

The announcement was made by DC Entertainment prez Diane Nelson, who hailed the moves thusly: "DC Entertainment's new executive team is a creative 'dream team,' with accomplishments and talent unrivaled in the business."

DC also announced moves involving execs John Rood (sales/marketing/business development) and Patrick Caldon (finance/administration).

I'm trying to remember the last time that this blog had anything even remotely relevant to say about newspaper comic strips. It's starting to read like something a stoned college kid would appreciate. Nothing wrong with that I 'spose, but it really would be great to have a comics blog about the "comics."
