QUICK HIT: Stan Lee's super-powered pitch to comics retailers
With three superheroes on the horizon, Friend of Comic Riffs Stan Lee is appealing directly to comics retailers, whom the Marvel legend calls the "most important link between creators and our loyal readers."
In a new video, Lee is pitching his upcoming titles from Boom! Studios and POW! Entertainment -- beseeching retailers to help him "introduce a new generation to these superheroes."
First is "Soldier Zero," that "living alien weapon" from Paul Cornell and Javier Pina that's coming in October.
Second is "The Traveler" (November) by Chad Hardin and Mark Waid, who'll be the keynote speaker at this weekend's Baltimore Comic-Con.
Third is "Starborn" (December), the "prince from an alien empire" by Chris Roberson and Khary Randolph.
Excelsior! indeed.
